    Abstract: Since the mid-1990s, the term 'foodscapes' has been used. Its reference to landscape opens it up to a wide theoretical variety and numerous methodological approaches. Through the large 'semantic yard' of the concept of landscape it becomes clear that the approach of foodscapes aims less at the description or pure positivistic analysis of the production, distribution and consumption of food, but is rather open to aesthetic approaches, normative questions, aspects of the connection of food and space with meaning. In this respect, research on foodscapes is not simply a part of food geography but reaches beyond it. With this anthology we contribute to the development of the research field on foodscapes and combine diverse perspectives from different disciplines, locations and theoretical as well as methodological backgrounds on the diversity of what foodscapes can be.     Abstract: Financial management in family businesses is a special challenge. CFOs in particular are often at the crossroads of various interests and roles. However, not least the public reticence of family businesses has so far ensured that there is a lack of knowledge about these interrelationships. A specialist circle of CFOs from large German-speaking family businesses is dedicated at the Center for Family Business at the University of St.Gallen (Switzerland) to discuss these issues . In this book, these experts share their wealth of knowledge and experience with the public for the first time. Along a five-step model, they shed light on key areas of responsibility that go far beyond mere financial management.     Abstract: Dieser Sammelband identifiziert die Schnittstellen der politischen, gesellschaftlichen und wirtschaftlichen Domäne aus wirtschaftssoziologischer und fachdidaktischer Perspektive wie auch vor dem Hintergrund nationaler wie internationaler Forschungsansätze der sozialwissenschaftlichen Bildung.     Abstract: This book analyzes conflicting notions of identity and belonging in contemporary Europe. Addressing the creation, negotiation, and (re)use of diverse spaces and places of belonging, the book examines their fascinating complexities in the context of a changing Europe.     Abstract: Ein hochrangiger Polizeibeamter bietet einer Angestellten eine Beförderung an und fragt sie dabei, ob sie sich ,,hochschlafen" wolle. Die Frau weist ihn zurück und behält den Vorfall jahrelang für sich. Zuvor hatte sie in der Polizei vergeblich um Unterstützung ersucht. Erst Jahre später taucht dieser Polizeibeamte in den Schlagzeilen auf, weil er seiner jungen Kripochefin nachgestellt haben soll. Erst daraufhin wird er aufgrund der Anzeige der Angestellten rechtskräftig verurteilt. Diesen konkreten Rechtsfall sexualisierter Grenzüberschreitung, nehmen die Herausgeber des Buches als Anlass interdisziplinär zu untersuchen, wie Mechanismen der Skandal- und Krisenbewältigung und die damit einhergehenden Formen der institutionellen Abwehr in der Organisation Polizei wirken. Das Wegsehen und rationalisierende Verdrängen seitens Vorgesetzter, Kolleginnen und Kollegen ist unbedingt aufklärungsbedürftig. Ziel des Buches ist die Schaffung einer interdisziplinären Grundlage für die Reflexion vergleichbarer Fälle in der ,,Organisation mit Gewaltlizenz" und damit die Initiierung eines organisationalen Lernprozesses, der solche Fälle zu verhindern hilft.

    Abstract: Das Bekenntnis zum Weg der Gewaltfreiheit nimmt in der Kundgebung der EKD-Synode 2019 „Kirche auf dem Weg der Gerechtigkeit und des Friedens“ den ersten Rang unter den Aussagen zum Thema Frieden ein. Aber der kirchliche Diskurs kennt auch eine zweite Option, die unter bestimmten Bedingungen notwendig werden kann: den Gebrauch von „rechtserhaltender Gewalt“, der gerade den Frieden herstellen oder wahren soll. In diesem Spannungsfeld stehen die kirchliche Militärseelsorge und Soldat*innen mit kirchlicher Bindung. Die verschiedenen Voten und deren Grundlegungen und Konsequenzen werden in diesem Band diskutiert. Die Herausgebenden Dr. theol. Hendrik Stoppel ist wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter am Lehrstuhl für Ökumene und Dogmatik der Ruhr-Universität Bochum. Prof. Dr. theol.     Abstract: "When used in India, the term Kala Pani refers to the cellular jail in Port Blair where the British colonizers sent a select category of freedom fighters. In the diaspora it refers to the transoceanic migration of indentured labour from India to plantation colonies across the globe from the mid-19th century onwards. This volume discusses the legacies of indenture in the Caribbean, Reunion, Mauritius, and Fiji, and how they still imbue our present. More importantly, it draws attention to India and raises new questions: doesn't one need, at some stage, to wonder why this forgotten chapter of Indian history needs to be retrieved? How is it that this history is better known outside India than in India itself? What are the advantages of shining a torch onto a history that was made invisible? Why have the tribulations of the old diaspora been swept under the carpet at a time when the successes of the new diaspora have been foregrounded? What do we stand to gain from resurrecting these histories in the early 21st century and from shifting our perspectives? A key volume on Indian diaspora, modern history, indentured labour, and the legacy of indentureship, this volume examines these questions largely through the frame of important works of literature and cinema, folk songs and oral tales, making it an artistic enquiry of the past and of the present.     Abstract: Die Drehbuchforschung ist ein junges, sich rasch entwickelndes internationales Forschungsfeld. Der Sammelband führt Forschungen aus dem deutschsprachigen Raum zusammen, die sich mit dem Drehbuch als schriftliches Artefakt und als Teil des Produktionsprozesses auseinandersetzen. Neben grundlegenden theoretischen Konzepten der Drehbuchforschung stehen historische und archivbasierte Analysen sowie gegenwartsbezogene Problemstellungen im Vordergrund. Praxisnah finden außerdem Akteure und Abläufe der Drehbuchentwicklung sowie Fragen der Dramaturgie Beachtung.     Abstract: Untersucht wird die theologische und ästhetische Bearbeitung der Pandemien in dystopischen und Science-Fiction-Filmen sowie Serien. Zwischen Verschwörungstheorien, der Sicht als Strafe Gottes und der fatalistischen Annahme eines "notwenigen Übels" changieren die Erklärungsmodelle im Film wie auch in der gesellschaftlichen Wirklichkeit. Filme bieten dabei stellvertretend narrative Lösungsmodelle an. Die Katastrophe wird auf diese Weise dem beängstigenden Alltag für kurze Zeit enthoben, was eine der Reflexion zuträgliche Distanz ermöglicht. Exemplarisch wird ein sich wandelndes Rollen-, Gesellschafts- und Gottesbild aufgezeigt, das zu religionspädagogischen Reflexionen anregt. Die Herausgebenden Dr. Inge Kirsner ist als apl. Diese bieten bisher nie dagewesene Möglichkeiten der digitalen Vernetzung und des informellen Lernens. Dadurch rücken sie Nachhaltigkeit verstärkt aus der wissenschaftlichen Nische in den öffentlichen Diskurs. Dieser Sammelband verbindet die bisher zumeist getrennt gedachten Bereiche Nachhaltigkeit und Social Media. Welche nachhaltigen Themen dominieren in den sozialen Netzwerken?
