Zuerst tanzen Männer einen lebhaften Reigentanz mit Virtuositätscharakter, dann Männer und Frauen einen raschen Paartanz. Die Tänze werden von Zigeunermusik begleitet.
Abstract:
The film shows the dances Barbuncul (enrollment) and Hategana (dance from Hateg) from the village Blajel (Sibiu district). The Barbuncul is danced in a ring only by men. The movement is on the spot. The tempo is lively. The Hategana is danced in pairs. The dancer stand opposite each other and hold each other by the shoulders or by the hand. The movement is on the spot. The tempo is fast. The dances are accompanied by gipsy music.
