Abstract: Der Gottesdienst ist ausgeschmückt mit verschiedenen formelhaften Ansprachen und hymnusartigen Gesängen als Untermalung für einschlägige Rezitationen, in die sich der Imam, der Muezzin und die Gemeinde teilen.

Abstract: The communal prayer at the end of Ramadan, the month of fasting, is more festive than a normal Friday prayer. It is embellished with various formalized speeches and songs, which are the background for related recitations by the precensor (imam), muezzin (mü'ezzin = chanter of the call to prayer), and the congregatin. The individual parts of the ritual are indicated by the alternation of the recitations between the imam and the muezzin, and the imam's changing his position appropriately. The imam leads the prayer (rek'a) from in front of the prayer niche (mihrab), but the recitations are performed from the two pulpits.

Abstract: Gesamter Vorgang des Freitagsgebetes: die Chutba durch den Geistlichen, das Gemeinschaftsgebet zum Freitag unter Leitung des Imams nebst allen Gebetsformeln, Rezitationen, dem Gebetsruf des Muezzins und zusätzlichen Gebeten von einzelnen Gläubigen.

Abstract: The film shows the whole procedure involved in the Friday prayer: the Chutba (homily) read by the preacher (chatib), the communal prayer for Friday, the weekly Muslim holiday, as led by a precensor (imam), including all the prayers, recitations, call to prayer by the muezzin (mü'ezzin), and the supplemental prayers of some members of the congregation.

Abstract: Scheich Hajdar Murteza erklärt dem Besucher einiges zu seinem Lebenslauf und zur Geschichte des Tekye. Anschließend erläutert er die Räumlichkeiten: Grablege mit Sarkophagen, Grabmäler im Garten, Kultraum mit Kultgegenständen. Als Ersatz für einen Zikr führt der Scheich im Ornat die Verwendung der einzelnen Gegenstände während des Zikr vor.

Abstract: Sheik Hajdar Murteza guides the visitor through his cloister (tekye) and offers some comments. Next he describes his own life and the history of the Tekye. Then he shows the various rooms: the internment room with the sarcophagi of Rufâ'îye Sheiks, the tombstones in the garden, and, finally, the sanctuary (semâ'-châne)and the various relics found there (weapon, staffs). As a substitute for a Zikr the Sheik, dressed in his vestments, demonstrates how the various ritual items are used in the Zikr.

Abstract: Ein Landwirt und Fischer fährt in einem flachen Segelboot mit seinen Söhnen zum Algenfischen aus. Zwei der Männer fischen mit langstieligen, breiten Holzharken Wasserpflanzen, der dritte stakt das Boot. Die Bootsladung wird am eigenen Kai abgeladen und mit einem Ochsenkarren auf die Felder gefahren, wo sie als Dünger Verwendung findet.

Abstract: A peasant and fisherman goes with his sons in his shallow sailing boat to fish algae. Two of the men collect with long-handled, broad wooden rakes water plants, the third propels the boat with a pole. The boat is unloaded at the peasant's private pier, then the algae are transported by an ox-cart to the fields, where they are used as manure.

Abstract: The game "Fox and Hen", which requires the faculty of combinatorial thinking, is known in St. Magdalena (Gsies Valley) from time immemorial. The square board and the 22 wooden pieces are manufactured by the people themselves. Holes are made in the board so that the game may be played even in the open air, on an uneven ground.
