    Abstract: In Loich (Pielachtal) deckt ein Dachdecker mit Hilfe des Jungbauern den schadhaften Teil des Strohdaches einer Scheune neu. Es wird ein Dach mit stehendem First gedeckt, wobei die Strohbunde (Roggen) auf das Dach gebracht, beim Decken aufgemacht und mit Bandeln (Weidenruten) und Racheln (Haselruten) an die Dachlatten gebunden werden.

    Abstract: Ein durch die Regenzeit stark beschädigtes Strohkegeldach eines Speichers wird erneuert. Das Dachgerüst aus gebündelten Hirsestengeln wird mit getrocknetem Buschgras umgeben und mit Rindenstreifen befestigt, dann wird die Spitze gebunden. Das fertige Dach wird auf den Speicher gehoben und an dessen Dachsparren befestigt.
    Abstract: A granary roof severely damaged by the rains is to be replaced by a new one. After a search in the bush for suitable branches, the measurements of the old roof are taken, the truss erected from millet stalks, surrounded with dried bush grass, fastened with strips of bark and the top is attached. The ready roof is then lifted on to the granary and fixed to its rafters.

    Abstract: Auf einer Alm im Pinzgau wird Milch entrahmt. Die Sahne wird in einem wassergetriebenen Butterfaß vor der Almhütte zu Butter geschleudert. Man formt große Butterlaibe für die Ablieferung ins Tal und kleine Stücke für den täglichen Bedarf auf der Alm.
    Abstract: Milk is skimmed in the hut of an alpine meadow (alp) in the Pinzgau. The cream is churned into butter in a water-driven churn in front of the hut. Large cakes of butter are formed for delivery in the valley, and small pieces for daily use on the alp.

    Abstract: On an open square between the two halves of the village of Sanga, by the Bandiagara cliff faces, nine masked characters demonstrate various dances. They form a group a stilt mask; 〈i〉kanaga〈/i〉 and 〈i〉sirige〈/i〉 masks demonstrate their complex dance figures which require acrobatic skill.

    Abstract: Von einem Baobab-Baum werden Baststreifen abgezogen, gebündelt und im Gehöft zu feinen Streifen gefasert, befeuchtet und zu einem dünnen, zweisträhnigen Seil zusammengedreht. Aus diesem wird dann ein stärkeres Seil gedreht, wobei der Fuß des Seilers als Arbeitsgerät dient.
    Abstract: Strips fo bast are taken from a baobab tree, tied up, and unravelled into fine strips at the farm. They are then dampened, and twisted together into a thin, two-strand-rope. A thicker rope is then twisted, the rope-maker's foot serving as a tool.

    Abstract: Auf einer Hochalm im Pinzgau wird süße Kuh- und Ziegenmilch im Kessel erhitzt und mit Lab versetzt. Nach Dicklegung wird die Masse gebrochen und verrührt, mit einem Sieb herausgeschöpft und in einem Holzreifen zu einem Käselaib gepreßt. Im Käsekeller wird der Käse mit Salz eingerieben und während des Reifens, das von innen nach außen erfolgt, mehrmals mit Molke oder Wasser gewaschen und gewendet.
    Abstract: On a high alpine pasture in the Pinzgau sweet and new cow's and goat's milk is heated in a vessel and rennet is added. The coagulated mass is then broken into pieces and stirred, taken out with a sieve, placed into a wooden hoop and pressed into the shape of a wheel. In the curing cave the "Pinzgauer cheese" is salted and in the course of the ripening process, which proceeds from the inside to the outside, repeatedly bathed in whey or water and turned.
