Abstract:
The dances filmed in Cimpu lui Neag on the Western Jiu: Hora, Sîrba, Învîrtita, Mocaneasca belong to the dance repertoire generally common in Roumania of the circle dances, dances in rows and partner dances. They are danced by men and women. The dances are accompanied by the local farmers' orchestra.
