    Abstract: Long description: Unsere Mobilität befindet sich im Wandel. Elektroautos sind dabei auf dem Vormarsch und werden für viele Verkehrsprobleme als zentrale Lösung angepriesen. Allerdings greift dieser Wechsel der Antriebstechnologie zu kurz, denn er bringt neue soziale und ökologische Probleme für die Rohstoffpolitik und die globale Wertschöpfungskette mit sich. Aber auch Mobilitätskonzepte um Carsharing, autonomes Fahren und weitere Ansätze zur Verkehrswende lassen viele Fragen offen. Die aus verschiedenen Disziplinen kommenden Beiträger*innen beschäftigen sich mit diesen hochaktuellen Entwicklungen und liefern Orientierung in der Auseinandersetzung mit der Transformation und Zukunft der (Auto-)Mobilität
    Abstract: Biographical note: Achim Brunnengräber (PD Dr. phil. habil.), geb. 1963, ist Privatdozent an der Freien Universität Berlin im Fachbereich Politik- und Sozialwissenschaften. Er beschäftigt sich am Forschungszentrum für Umweltpolitik mit der politischen Ökonomie der Elektro-Mobilität. Seine Forschungsschwerpunkte sind darüber hinaus die Umwelt-, Energie- und Klimapolitik sowie die Endlager-Governance für hoch radioaktive Reststoffe. Tobias Haas (Dr. rer. soc.), geb. 1983, ist wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter am Forschungszentrum für Umweltpolitik an der Freien Universität Berlin und am »Institute For Advanced Sustainability Studies e.V.« in Potsdam. 2018 war er Stipendiat am DFG-Kolleg »Postwachstumsgesellschaften« an der Friedrich-Schiller-Universität Jena. Er beschäftigt sich mit den Auseinandersetzungen um die Verkehrswende und den Strukturwandel in der Lausitz

Er geht wiederholt auf die Entwicklungsgeschichte der kommunistischen Partei unter den Führern Mao Zedong und Deng Xiaoping ein und vergleicht Xi mit ihnen. Der Text lässt Kritik und Distanz vermissen und setzt Vorwissen über die politischen und wirtschaftlichen Verhältnisse Chinas voraus, ist aber gut lesbar. (3)

Human pursuit of game, tending of livestock, and susceptibility to disease vectors required imperial adaptation beyond the cultural constructs of banners or chieftainships in order to maintain a "sustainable Qing periphery" based on these environmental relations between people and animals. The resulting borderland spaces are, therefore, not simply contrivances of more anthropocentric administrative fiat, but environmental interdependencies constructed through more "organic" and conditional relations of imperial foraging, imperial pastoralism, and imperial indigenism

    Abstract: "In 2001 the Chinese government announced that the precise location of Shangrila--a place that previously had existed only in fiction--had been identified in Zhongdian County, Yunnan.     Abstract: "In 2001 the Chinese government announced that the precise location of Shangrila--a place that previously had existed only in fiction--had been identified in Zhongdian County, Yunnan. Since then, Sino-Tibetan borderlands in Yunnan, Sichuan, Gansu, Qinghai, and the Tibet Autonomous Region have been the sites of numerous state projects of tourism development and nature conservation, which have in turn attracted throngs of backpackers, environmentalists, and entrepreneurs who seek to experience, protect, and profit from the region's landscapes. In Taming Tibet, Emily T. Yeh examines how Chinese development projects in Tibet served to consolidate state space and power. The master narrative of the PRC stresses generosity: the state and Han migrants selflessly provide development to the supposedly backward Tibetans, raising the living standards of the Han's "little brothers." Arguing that development is in this context a form of "indebtedness engineering," Yeh depicts development as a hegemonic project that simultaneously recruits Tibetans to participate in their own marginalization while entrapping them in gratitude to the Chinese state. The resulting transformations of the material landscape advance the project of state territorialization.
