    Abstract: Der Hütereinzug ist ein Fest der Perchtoldsdorfer Weinhüter und findet alljährlich am Sonntag nach dem 6. November (Leonhard) statt. Bereits am Vorabend treffen sich die Hüter beim Herbergsvater zum Gstanzlsingen. Am Sonntagmorgen ziehen sie gemeinsam mit der Hiatapritschn zum Erntedankfest in die Pfarrkirche. Anschließend führt der Zug zum Pfarrhof, danach zum nahegelegenen Alten Rathaus, wo das öffentliche Gstanzlsingen in Form eines Rügegerichts stattfindet. Dann marschiert der Zug zum Hütevater, wo ein festliches Mittagessen mit geladenen Gästen stattfindet.
    Abstract: The "Hütereinzug" is a festival of the Perchtoldsdorf Weinhüter and is celebrated every year on the first Sunday after November 6th. All the "Weinhüter" meet on the evening before the festival at the "Herberg-father's" home to sing "Gstanzl". On Sunday morning they walk together to the parish church. A young farmer carries the "Hiatapritschn". After the harvest-festival service they continue to the parsonage and then to the nearby old Town Hall where the public "Gstanzlsingen" takes place as an inferior court of justice. Finally they walk to their "Hüter-father" where a festive meal is celebrated with other invited guests.

    Abstract: 1975 gründeten Südtiroler, Nordtiroler und Bayerische Schützen eine Gemeinschaft der Schützen der Alpenregion und beschlossen, sich jährlich zu treffen. Der Film zeigt Aufmarsch, Ansprachen, Feldmesse und Parade anläßlich des Treffens am 3. August 1986 in Garmisch-Partenkirchen in Bayern.
    Abstract: In 1975 South Tyrolian, North Tyrolian and Bavarian "Schützen" (riflemen) founded a community of the "Schützen" of the Alpine region and decided to meet annually. The film shows marches, speeches, open-air mass and parade on occasion of the meeting at Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Bavaria, in August 1986.

    Abstract: Anfertigung von einfachem Kinderspielzeug, das im Frühling von viehhütenden Kindern zum Zeitvertreib hergestellt wird. Alle Schritte der Erzeugung und des Gebrauchs von Maipfeiferl, Rindenoboe und Hollerbüchse vom Aussuchen des geeigneten Zweiges bis zum Versuch, dem Instrument einen Ton zu entlocken. Ein Beispiel für nichtmusikalisch verwendetes Spielzeug: das Zusammenbinden eines "Zitterwagens".
    Abstract: This film shows how simple toys and musical instruments were once made by children tending cattle in springtime. Every step of the preparation and use of the "Maipfeiferl" (= may whistle), "Rindenoboe" (= willow-bark oboe), "Hollerbüchse" (= elder air-pistol) is demonstrated - from the selection of suitable tree boughs to the attempts to elicit a tone (or noise) from the musical instrument. An example of the building of a non-instrumental toy, the "Zitterwagerl" (= vibrating wagon), is also shown. In the course of the film the demonstrator Julius Sorger explains why now one can no longer observe children building those toys.

    Abstract: In a farmhouse at Großdorf (part of Kals, Eastern Tyrol) fritters are made on the day before All-Saints-Day. The film documents all preparations and the making of these fritters which are used as gifts in connection with the custom of "Krapfenschnappern" the other day.

    Abstract: The movie was filmed on All-Saints Day at Kals on the foot of the Großglockner-mountain in Austria (Eastern Tyrol). It shows the procession and the visit at the graveyard where people pray. Afterwards small children and school children do "Krapfenschnappern" during afternoon and evening. This souling custom, in connection with religious ideas, is used "to help the poor souls".

    Abstract: Der Kalser Bildhauer Thomas Rogl schnitzt und faßt im Auftrag für das Filmteam einen "Krapfenschnapper", wie ihn Kinder am Allerheiligentag zum "Krapfenschnappern" verwenden. Es entsteht der Kopf eines Donald Duck, dessen beweglicher Unterschnabel mit einer Schnur gegen den oberen Teil geschlagen werden kann, was ein "schnapperndes" Geräusch hervorruft. Der Schnitzer kommentiert den Film selbst. (Vgl. Film E 3045 und E 3047).
    Abstract: The sculptor Thomas Rogl demonstrates for a film the manufacture of a "Krapfenschnapper", how it will be used by children during afternoon and evening a day before the "All-Souls Day". A "Krapfenschnapper" consists of a wooden head of an animal or a man, attached on a stick. The moveable lower jaw can be pulled with a string and beats on the upper part of the head which produces a ratting noise of a special frequence. A separate movie was produced concerning the custom of "Krapfenschnappern". This film shows the development of the work of the sculptor from the raw wooden block to the finished product of a "Krapfenschnapper". The work for one "Krapfenschnapper" is normally done in one day. This film presents it in a short snatched up form.

    Abstract: 1975 gründeten Südtiroler, Nordtiroler und Bayerische Schützen eine Gemeinschaft der Schützen der Alpenregion und beschlossen, sich jährlich zu treffen. Der Film zeigt Aufmarsch, Ansprachen, Feldmesse und Parade anläßlich des Treffens am 3. August 1986 in Garmisch-Partenkirchen in Bayern.
    Abstract: In 1975 South Tyrolian, North Tyrolian and Bavarian "Schützen" (riflemen) founded a community of the "Schützen" of the Alpine region and decided to meet annually. The film shows marches, speeches, open-air mass and parade on occasion of the meeting at Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Bavaria, in August 1986.

    Abstract: Am Tag vor Allerheiligen werden in einem Bauernhaus in Großdorf, Gemeinde Kals am Großglockner, aus Roggen- und Weizenmehl, Milch, Hefe und Zucker mit Salz, Anis und Fenchel gewürzte Schmalzgebäcke, die "Kalser Krapfen" gemacht. (Vgl. Film E 3046 und E 3047).
    Abstract: In a farmhouse at Großdorf (part of Kals, Eastern Tyrol) fritters are made on the day before All-Saints-Day. The film documents all preparations and the making of these fritters which are used as gifts in connection with the custom of "Krapfenschnappern" the other day.

    Abstract: Der Kalser Bildhauer Thomas Rogl schnitzt und faßt im Auftrag für das Filmteam einen "Krapfenschnapper", wie ihn Kinder am Allerheiligentag zum "Krapfenschnappern" verwenden. Es entsteht der Kopf eines Donald Duck, dessen beweglicher Unterschnabel mit einer Schnur gegen den oberen Teil geschlagen werden kann, was ein "schnapperndes" Geräusch hervorruft. Der Schnitzer kommentiert den Film selbst. (Vgl. Film E 3045 und E 3047).
    Abstract: The sculptor Thomas Rogl demonstrates for a film the manufacture of a "Krapfenschnapper", how it will be used by children during afternoon and evening a day before the "All-Souls Day". A "Krapfenschnapper" consists of a wooden head of an animal or a man, attached on a stick. The moveable lower jaw can be pulled with a string and beats on the upper part of the head which produces a ratting noise of a special frequence. A separate movie was produced concerning the custom of "Krapfenschnappern". This film shows the development of the work of the sculptor from the raw wooden block to the finished product of a "Krapfenschnapper". The work for one "Krapfenschnapper" is normally done in one day. This film presents it in a short snatched up form.

    Abstract: Ausgehend von der Annahme, daß bei allen höheren Lebewesen rhythmische Verhaltensweisen vorkommen, erläutert Otto Koenig anhand von Filmaufnahmen eines Treffens der Alpenregion der Schützenam 3. August 1986 in Garmisch-Partenkirchen seine These, daß (militärischer) Gleichschritt durch Trommelrhythmus erreicht wird, z. T. Zeitdehnung.
    Abstract: Starting from the assumption that rhythmical ways of behaviour occur in all higher living creatures Otto Koenig demonstrates by means of film shots of a meeting of the "Alpenregion der Schützen" (alpine region of riflemen) his thesis that (military) equal step is achieved by drumming rhythm. (Partly slow-motion).
