    Kurzfassung: Kasane-shozoku, or a type of costumes worn by the dancers and musicians in gagaku, dance-music, is shown in detail. The music and dance performance of Manzairaku follows. The piece is said to have been composed in China of the T'ang dynasty and used to be performed to ensure a long-lasting life for the emperor and hence a long-lasting dynasty.

The film shows complete Taiheiraku in which four dancers, armed with Chinese style helmets, swords and spears, represent warriors after the battle, ushering in the age of peace.

    Kurzfassung: At the beginning, some of the different gagaku masks are displayed. Then, a Genjoraku mask is put on by a dancer. The music and dance performance of Genjoraku follows. The solo dancer shows great joy upon discovery that a snake is near-by. The costume, mask as well as the dance itself show the Chinese and Japanese people considered the culture and the people of Central Asia.
