    Abstract: Ein Hundegespann zieht einen Schlitten über durch Ebbe freigelegte Schlickflächen und durch Wasserrinnen zu den im Watt stehenden Reusen. Je nach Bodenbeschaffenheit steht der Krabbenfischer hinten auf dem Schlitten, schiebt eventuell mit einem Fuß an oder geht daneben her. An der Fangstelle entleert er die Reusen und schüttet den Fang auf einen Holzrost; durch Rütteln des Rostes sortiert er die großen Krabben aus. Etwa 90% des Fangs wird zurückgelassen.
    Abstract: A sledge is drawn on tidal mudflats by a team of dogs. At the place where he has set fish-traps the fisherman stops the sledge and empties the fish-traps. He pours the caught shrimps on a trellis and sorts out the big ones by vibrating the trellis. Nearly nine tenths of the catch are left in the tidal gutter and in the mud.

    Abstract: In einem verschneiten Wald werden Holztransportschlitten von Hunden bergauf gezogen und dort mit Meterscheiten quer zur Fahrtrichtung beladen. Bei der Talfahrt laufen die Hunde frei hinter den von Holzarbeitern gelenkten Schlitten her. Auf ebener Strecke ziehen Mann und Hund gemeinsam.
    Abstract: In a snowed-up forest of the Mühlviertel sledges for the transport of wood are being pulled uphill by dogs. Having arrived at the working place, the sledges are loaded with timber. On their way back at the steep slopes the dogs are running at large behind the quickly gliding sledges, driven by the woodworkes. On an even path the sledge is drawn by both, man and dog.

    Abstract: Maskierte Klaubaufgestalten ziehen von Haus zu Haus. Sie folgen dem Nikolaus, der die Kinder beschenkt. Auch eine Musikkapelle zieht mit, die in den Häusern aufspielt. Lotter und Lütterin sammeln Geld und tanzen. Auf der Straße führen sich die Klaubaufs wild auf. In den Häusern werden sie vom Nikolaus gelenkt und zurückgehalten. Brauchträger war die Turn- und Sportunion.
    Abstract: Masked "Klaubaufs" go from door to door, preceded by Santa Claus who distributes presents among the children. They are accompanied by a band playing in the houses. In the street the "Klaubaufs" behave violently, in the houses they are directed by Santa Claus who restrains them.

    Abstract: Der Nikolaus besucht die Häuser und hält eine Ansprache. Sein Begleiter verteilt Nüsse. Auch andere verkleidete Gestalten, wie Lotter und Lütterin, Wunderarzt mit Begleiter, Kettenteufel, treten auf. Die mit Holzlarven maskierten Klaubaufgestalten versuchen, den in der Ecke der Stube stehenden Tisch zu entfernen und attackieren die Anwesenden.
    Abstract: Santa Claus enters the houses and makes a speech. His attendant distributes nuts. Other disguised persons appear: "Lotter" and "Lütterin", quack doctor and attendant. The "Klaubaufs", disguised with wooden masks, try to remove the table in the corner of the room and attack the persons present.

    Abstract: The film shows among other masks the appearance of two giant masks. By bending forward their upper body the wearers let fall the tall masks precisely to the outstanding people. The onlookers help them to put the masks again.

    Abstract: Several children put on furs or rather coats and prepare for "Klaubauf" walking. After putting on the masks they all run out into the street where they imitate the movements and the behaviour of grown-up "Klaubauf" figures.
