    Abstract: History Teaching in the university context is a completely unexplored field of research in Italy and for a large part also in those countries that can boast more solid traditions of studies in this research area. This is caused by the shared idea that the academic context is always a guarantee of a high quality of teaching. This work reverses this thesis and therefore aims to deeply investigate the teaching and learning of History to understand its effectiveness; in other words, this means understand whether and how the university can lead students to the development of Historical Thinking, i.e. the most important of the educational objectives concerning History. Through the comparison between Italy and Spain (one of the most advanced country in this research area), the use of a large variety of sources (including specific surveys) and a wide recognition of the Didactics of History as a discipline (with reference to its most important debate on Historical Thinking), the result is a first attempt to identify and analyze the original characteristics and critical issues of History in the higher education system which focuses on the most relevant disciplinary traditions, practices and teaching tools, and also on the complex relationship of academic History with school, publishing industry and digital.

    Abstract: People are now more liberated to give meaning to their life and to select values they deem important. What effect does this have on conversations about meaning and spirituality with the upcoming generation? Nowadays, shared religious and church practices are not as prevalent as they once were. Is a personal testimony of how meaning and spirituality have developed in one's own life the or a way of communicating something to children, pupils, and students? One way of sharing a testimony is the 'spiritual autobiography', a practice that was developed in the US and later brought to the Netherlands by Jannet Delver. It is now used in universities and higher vocational schools. Also for group discussions with clients, writing and sharing one's spiritual biography has been found to contribute to (re)finding sources of strength in difficult times

    Abstract: By describing their present as ‘enlightened’, eighteenth-century intellectuals inevitably altered their relationship to the past. In search of an explanation for this Enlightenment, eighteenth-century authors created a historical narrative which connected European countries in a linear history from antiquity, through the barbarous Middle Ages, to the progress of the scientific revolution and, finally, to the enlightened present in which seventeenth-century knowledge was perceived as increasingly benefiting society as a whole. Even though this narrative served as a shared European history and identity, national varieties soon emerged. This book shows that, in the context of the European ‘Enlightened narrative’, the Dutch Republic formed an extraordinary case. Here, the narrative of progress collided with a simultaneous debate on national decline and a deeply rooted humanistic tradition. Dutch intellectuals, moreover, were forced to reconsider their national past and national identity. The Batavian myth, for two centuries the primary historical foundation of national identity, increasingly came to be viewed as ‘barbaric’. Consequently, the concept of a seventeenth-century Golden Age was invented. It replaced the Batavian myth with a celebration of seventeenth-century Dutch economic prosperity, commercial politeness and moral rectitude more in line with enlightened historical thought

Tra i principali rischi al ribasso figurano la possibilità di un rallentamento più marcato del previsto in Cina e di un continuo rincaro dei prezzi del petrolio. Il rapporto intermedio afferma che la politica monetaria dovrebbe continuare a concentrarsi sul riallineamento dell'inflazione all'obiettivo e sottolinea la necessità di maggiori sforzi da parte dei governi per ripristinare i margini di bilancio e rispondere alle sfide future, compresa la transizione climatica. Occorre rilanciare gli sforzi di politica strutturale per rafforzare le prospettive, attribuendo priorità al rinvigorimento del commercio globale. Il Rapporto intermedio fornisce un aggiornamento delle valutazioni riportate nell'edizione di giugno 2023 delle Prospettive economiche dell'OCSE (numero 113).

Molte di loro sono escluse dalla possibilità di avere un lavoro significativo e hanno bassi livelli di reddito e di impegno sociale. I governi possono contribuire a creare un ambiente che sostenga l'integrazione sociale e lavorativa delle persone con disabilità. Il presente rapporto esamina l'efficacia del sistema di protezione sociale per le persone con disabilità in Italia. Riassume inoltre i risultati di un progetto pilota condotto in quattro regioni per testare una valutazione alternativa della disabilità. L'attuale processo di valutazione può talvolta negare i servizi alle persone che hanno bisogno di sostegno, mentre è generoso con le persone con problemi di salute significativi ma che non presentano una disabilità grave. Una valutazione della disabilità che tenga conto degli aspetti medici e funzionali, aiuta a indirizzare i servizi e le risorse verso le persone più bisognose. Inoltre, aiuta ad armonizzare l'accesso alle prestazioni e ai servizi di disabilità in tutto il Paese. L'attuazione della riforma sulla disabilità si è rivelata difficile in Italia. Il presente rapporto offre evidenza del fatto che la riforma può migliorare le condizioni delle persone con disabilità.

    Abstract: An image in technicolor. Fifty years of wars in Vietnam 1940-1990 gives a broad and innovative interpretation of the history of Vietnam between 1940 and 1990. Black and white characterisations, one-sided interpretations and prevailing myths are debunked. Instead, a nuanced and multifaceted picture is given in which the United States is less prominent. History is not only written by the victors and, in this case too, the history of Vietnam during this period cannot be attributed solely to Ho Chi Minh and the success of the Communists in 1975. The internal losers, that is, the other political movements and their leaders, must also be given a crucial place in Vietnam's history. For example, the civil wars that took place between 1940 and 1990 played an unmistakable role. The older, idealised image of North Vietnam is inaccurate. This country was a dictatorial and oppressive police state. After 1954, the North Vietnamese leaders were embroiled in a fierce power struggle and were largely responsible for the war in South Vietnam. The answer to the question of who the legitimate representatives of the Vietnamese nation were also requires a more balanced judgment of non-Communist politicians, such as Bao Dai, Ngo Dinh Diem and Nguyen Van Thieu. As for the role of international players, initially, it was the Cold War that determined the United States' interference; later, it was American credibility. In the end, it was the support from China and the Soviet Union that was the deciding factor for North Vietnam's victory. Important new perspectives are given on the role of minorities, the meaning of 'a third way', the devastating effects of the strategy, the role of women and girls, and the mental and cultural aspects of the wars

    Abstract: La pubblicazione raccoglie gli esiti dei quattro Laboratori di Progettazione Architettonica e Urbana e Architettura degli Interni del Corso di Laurea Magistrale 5UE in Architettura del DiARC del Dipartimento di Architettura della Università di Napoli “Federico II”, che si sono svolti durante l’anno accademico 2020/2021. Le esercitazioni condotte dagli studenti sono localizzate sull’area del Vallone San Rocco, ricadente in un ambito urbanistico di PUA, e rivolte alla cura dello spazio domestico e urbano attraverso la sperimentazione di nuove forme dell’abitare collettivo, e una particolare attenzione all’integrazione culturale, sociale e generazionale. Il tema dello spazio dell’abitare è stato declinato attraverso l’elaborazione di diverse scale di progetto: dallo spazio interno privato a quello esterno semipubblico, per finire con lo spazio aperto collettivo, includendo anche quello agricolo e produttivo. Completano il volume numerosi saggi di docenti del Dipartimento di Architettura, architetti ed esperti a dimostrazione del carattere trasversale e centrale del tema trattato nell’ambito della ricerca architettonica contemporanea

    Abstract: The essay aims to propose a double way of reading the urban context of Naples, addressing in the first part a chronological review of the events that accompanied its urban growth, from its foundation to the present, in order to synthesize the evolutionary characteristics that defined Naples as a "City ", in relationship with the political and administrative events that determined them and the social, economic and cultural repercussions that ensued. In the second part, the point of observation has been changed. Starting from the peculiarities of the Neapolitan "vicolo" (alley), considered as a "Paese" (Town), a fundamental element for urban life and vitality, the author studies its socio-behavioural, settlement, economic and cultural characteristics, considering the narrative testimony, the artistic representation and the cultural manifestations that have animated and still animate the transmission of memories. The research starts from the consideration that in the Neapolitan "vicolo", as in the whole city, even the foreigner is, after World War II, called "Paisano" (villager) as well as in post-revolutionary France every person was considered as a "Cittadino" (citizen)
    Abstract: Il saggio ha inteso proporre un doppio tipo di lettura del contesto urbano di Napoli, affrontando nella prima parte una rassegna cronologica degli eventi che ne hanno accompagnato la crescita urbanistica, dalla sua fondazione al presente, puntando a sintetizzare i caratteri evolutivi del suo definirsi “Città” relazionati alle vicende politico amministrative che li hanno determinati ed alle ricadute sociali, economiche e culturali che ne sono derivate. Nella seconda parte si è cambiato punto di osservazione. Partendo dalla specificità del “vicolo” napoletano, inteso come “Paese”, elemento matriciale della vita e della vitalità urbana, se ne sono specificati i caratteri socio comportamentali, insediativi, economici e culturali, assumendo come fonte di privilegiata informazione la testimonianza narrativa, la rappresentazione artistica e le manifestazioni culturali che ne hanno animato e ne animano la trasmissione delle memorie. Si parte dalla considerazione che nel “vicolo” napoletano, come in tutta la città, anche il forestiero viene, nel secondo dopoguerra, appellato “Paisano” (paesano) come nella Francia postrivoluzionaria ogni individuo si fregiava dell’appellativo “Cittadino”

    Abstract: One of the main challenges in the healthcare sector in recent years has concerned the effort to ensure the healthcare sustainability in view of demographic change. Due to the progressive increasing of aging and chronic conditions, it is necessary to employ treatment methods with increasingly advanced and costly technological and care requirements that the Italian Health System has to deal with both from a health and economic standpoint. This critical issue also emerged during the COVID-19 pandemic, proving the need to reconsider the management of chronic conditions, which is still too focused on a specialist and/or hospital perspective, to make it more suitable for responding to patients' care issues while respecting available economic resources. In this regard, Outcome Research is of great interest as a research area based on Real World Evidences (RWE). Indeed, analyses of evidence produced in a Real-World context can confirm or not the value of political decision-making to improve governance and the quality of health-services provided. The aim of this work is to provide a detailed snapshot of the prevalence of chronic diseases and related comorbidities in Campania Region. At the same time, it also aims to be an effective knowledge tool for decision-makers involved in the planning of health policies and strategies
    Abstract: Una delle sfide che ha maggiormente segnato il dibattito pubblico degli ultimi anni ha riguardato lo sforzo di salvaguardare la sostenibilità dell’assistenza sanitaria in relazione al cambiamento demografico. Il progressivo invecchiamento della popolazione, nonché la tendenziale cronicizzazione delle malattie, richiede l’impiego di metodiche di cura con requisiti tecnologici-assistenziali sempre più avanzati e costosi, che in Italia gravano e mettono in difficoltà, sia da un punto di vista sanitario sia economico, il Sistema Sanitario Nazionale. Tale criticità è emersa anche durante la pandemia da COVID-19, comprovando la necessità di ripensare al modello di gestione della cronicità, ancora troppo centrato su una prospettiva specialistica e/o ospedaliera, per renderlo più idoneo a rispondere alle problematiche assistenziali dei pazienti nel rispetto delle risorse economiche disponibili. A questo proposito, può risultare di grande interesse l’Outcome Research, intesa come area di ricerca che si avvale della Real World Evidence (RWE), poiché dalle analisi delle evidenze prodotte nel mondo reale è possibile confermare o meno la validità delle decisioni politiche attuate al fine di migliorare la governance e la qualità dei servizi erogati. Questo lavoro intende proporre una fotografia dettagliata della prevalenza delle patologie croniche, e delle relative comorbidità, in Regione Campania ma, nel contempo, vuole anche essere un efficace strumento di conoscenze a disposizione di quei decisori impegnati nella programmazione delle politiche e delle strategie sanitarie

However, little is known about the way they live (or survive) and work in the Netherlands. Although their residence is not legal, this does not mean that migrants without residence permits have no rights. On the contrary, this book connects the legal legislation and regulations on the national and international level with the socio-economic reality of this vulnerable group of migrants. Based on unique empirical material, this study shows the discrepancy between the rights that also apply to migrants without residence permits, for example as workers, as patients or as residents, and shows the absence of protection in everyday practice. Profession and Leadership in the Church of Norway: Organizing Work of a Church in Change provides sociological and administrative insights into general and contextual phenomena in the church professions. Relationships between professions, administration and organization in the Church of Norway are analyzed in light of empirical studies and an institutional theoretical framework. The author discusses how the professions derive appropriate ways of organizing their work. A key finding in the book is that church professions are characterized by calling, autonomy and complexity.     Abstract: How can we be sure that the food we buy in grocery stores won’t make us sick? The institutions, laws and regulatory systems put in place to safeguard that food is safe to consume are the result of a long and complex process. This book takes a close look at that process and at how various actors and institutions – we call them ‘food’s facilitators’ – have worked to ensure that the food we eat is fresh, healthy and safe. Food’s Facilitators explores how modern foods and systems for food can be seen as the result of a series of administrative efforts and negotiations over how such food is produced. The authors examine laws and regulations, expertise, technologies, and media that contribute to binding the various modern industrialized food systems together. Their subject matter ranges from cookbooks and schools for housewives that have greatly influenced the Norwegian diet, to the industrial production of foods, freezer technology, date marking, and quality assessment. In addition, the authors look at the presentation of food on television as informational activity as well as debates about industrially produced ingredients and food products like margarine, artificial vanilla and farmed salmon. Through these examples the book illustrates how regulation, quality and information became necessary cornerstones in the evolution of the food industry.     Abstract: The promotion of greater diversity in the socio-demographic profile of the teaching population is the subject of an increasing international interest. However, the perspective of teachers with disabilities/specific learning disorders (SLDs) is still poorly investigated, especially in Italy. The entry of teachers with disabilities/SLDs into the teaching profession can represent a decisive step towards the development of increasingly higher levels of inclusion both in teacher training and in the school setting, also considering the benefits that teachers with disabilities/SLDs can bring in terms of inclusive values and practices. Although, the topic raises some dilemmas and tensions, elicited by the dual mandate of schools and universities, which are called to ensure the quality of: a) the educational offer; b) the professional profile of (student) teachers who (will) work in schools. At the same time, they need to grant (student) teachers the right to use accommodations during their educational and professional career. The volume presents a multi-perspective reflection on the subject, presenting ‒ in particular ‒ two systematic reviews on international research on the topic and an empirical study conducted within the Italian context. The latter investigated the facets underlying the inclusion of (student) teachers with disabilities/SLDs through a multi-method approach

Starting from the unequivocal evidence of the numerical prevalence of women in social work - a feature common to all the different conjugations in which the profession is expressed from State to State - the authors discuss the issue of gender in social work from different angles, offering the reader a rich plurality of themes, theoretical concepts and research approaches. National and international researches show the persistence of cultural matrices and gender stereotypes with regard to the division of labour, noticeable already during training, in the mentality of students and trainers, and often also in professionals themselves. The critical reflections of the authors are oriented towards the search for an antidote to the permanence of the status quo, and at the same time towards the development of an advanced mode of social intervention and gender-aware attention, both among professionals and with users and clients of the services.     Abstract: Livio Odescalchi (1652–1713), nephew of Innocent XI, paid the price in his youth for the pope’s anti-nepotism policy, who chose to deny him any official position. During the same period, Livio had to submit to the oppressive control of his uncle, his testamentary guardian – an unhappy situation that, at the time, caused him to be considered a symbol of misfortune. In spite of this, the young man was able to lay the foundations for a strategy of economic and social ascent that would later bear fruit. After the death of Innocent XI, a period of compensation began, built on the accumulation of honours and possessions, financial investments, commissions and art trades, patronage, social celebrations, and international networks. This book, based on Roberto Fiorentini’s doctoral thesis (Aprilia 1987 – Washington 2019), examines both phases of Livio Odescalchi’s life, analysing them in the light of a considerable quantity of archival documents, some of which are completely unpublished

Negli stessi anni, Livio dovette oltretutto sottostare al controllo opprimente dello zio, suo tutore testamentario – una condizione infelice al punto che, nella cultura del tempo, la sua figura venne notoriamente associata a simbolo di sventura. Nonostante ciò, il giovane seppe gettare le basi per una strategia di ascesa economico-sociale che avrebbe dato i suoi frutti in seguito. Morto Innocenzo XI, ebbe inizio infatti un periodo di riscatto, costruito sull’accumulo di onorificenze e possedimenti, investimenti finanziari, committenze e commerci d’arte, mecenatismo, feste mondane e reti internazionali. Il volume, frutto della tesi di dottorato di Roberto Fiorentini (Aprilia 1987–Washington 2019), prende in esame ambedue le fasi della vita di Livio Odescalchi, analizzandole alla luce di una notevole quantità di documenti d’archivio, una parte dei quali completamente inediti

Trotzdem gelang es ihm, in jungen Jahren den Grundstein für eine Strategie des wirtschaftlichen und sozialen Aufstiegs zu legen, die später Früchte tragen sollte.     Abstract: On 17 August 1945, two days after the Japanese surrender that also brought an end to the Second World War in Asia, Indonesia declared its independence. The declaration was not recognized by the Netherlands, which resorted to force in its attempt to take control of the inevitable process of decolonization. This led to four years of difficult negotiations and bitter warfare. In 2005, the Dutch government declared that the Netherlands should never have waged the war. The government’s 1969 position on the violence used by the Dutch armed forces during the war remained unchanged, however: although there had been ‘excesses’, on the whole the armed forces had behaved ‘correctly’. As the indications of Dutch extreme violence mounted, this official position proved increasingly difficult to maintain. In 2016, the Dutch government therefore decided to fund a broad study on the dynamics of the violence. The most important conclusions of that research programme are summarized in this book. The authors show that the Dutch armed forces used extreme violence on a structural basis, and that this was concealed both at the time and for many years after the war by the Dutch government and by society more broadly. All of this – like the entire colonial history – is at odds with the rose-tinted self-image of the Netherlands

    Abstract: An image in technicolor. Fifty years of wars in Vietnam 1940-1990 gives a broad and innovative interpretation of the history of Vietnam between 1940 and 1990. Black and white characterisations, one-sided interpretations and prevailing myths are debunked. Instead, a nuanced and multifaceted picture is given in which the United States is less prominent. History is not only written by the victors and, in this case too, the history of Vietnam during this period cannot be attributed solely to Ho Chi Minh and the success of the Communists in 1975. The internal losers, that is, the other political movements and their leaders, must also be given a crucial place in Vietnam’s history. For example, the civil wars that took place between 1940 and 1990 played an unmistakable role. The older, idealised image of North Vietnam is inaccurate. This country was a dictatorial and oppressive police state. After 1954, the North Vietnamese leaders were embroiled in a fierce power struggle and were largely responsible for the war in South Vietnam. The answer to the question of who the legitimate representatives of the Vietnamese nation were also requires a more balanced judgment of non-Communist politicians, such as Bao Dai, Ngo Dinh Diem and Nguyen Van Thieu. As for the role of international players, initially, it was the Cold War that determined the United States’ interference; later, it was American credibility. In the end, it was the support from China and the Soviet Union that was the deciding factor for North Vietnam’s victory. Important new perspectives are given on the role of minorities, the meaning of ‘a third way’, the devastating effects of the strategy, the role of women and girls, and the mental and cultural aspects of the wars

    Abstract: For a long time, the war in Indonesia and the extreme violence used by the Dutch troops were not a subject that was much discussed or written about in the Netherlands. After the end of the war, the government made great efforts to avoid discussions about it or even to nip them in the bud. The revelations by East Indies veteran Joop Hueting in 1969 initially led to great commotion, resulting in the 'Excessennota' and the government position that the armed forces had behaved correctly, apart from a number of 'excesses'. That was it, until in recent decades more and more indications emerged that the armed forces had used extreme violence on a larger scale. Not only politicians but also journalists, historians and history teachers struggled with the violent decolonisation of Indonesia. The groups most affected, such as veterans, Moluccans and Indo-Europeans, were also reluctant for a long time to talk about their often bitter experiences in public. Finally, Indonesia also did not seem very interested in reviving this history of mutual violence. As a result, it was only very late, very cautiously and jerkily, that the war gained a place in the Dutch culture of remembrance

    Abstract: During the Indonesian war of independence, reports of alleged war crimes by Dutch soldiers penetrated the Netherlands only sparsely. Even so, it was during the war that the first calls for an independent investigation into such reports were heard. After repeated calls from the Tweede Kamer, a commission of three lawyers was finally sent to Indonesia in October 1949 with the task of carrying out a non-judicial investigation into the allegations of extreme violence. For various reasons, this enquiry commission submitted reports on only two cases, which were only signed by two of the three commission members, Kees van Rij and Wim Stam. Until 1969, the existence of these reports remained hidden from parliament and the outside world. During the preparation of the 'Excessennota', the reports resurfaced and never filed reports on six other cases were found. All eight reports played a crucial role in the drafting of the note, while the report on South Sulawesi in particular would prove of great importance for the historiography of the war. Up until now, the reports by Van Rij and Stam had been hidden deep in the archives. This source publication, preceded by an extensive introduction, makes them accessible to a wider public for the first time

    Abstract: One hundred years after the founding of the École Coloniale Supérieure in Antwerp, the adjacent Middelheim Museum invites Sandrine Colard, researcher and curator, to conceive an exhibition that probes silenced histories of colonialism in a site-specific way. For Colard, the term Congoville encompasses the tangible and intangible urban traces of the colony, not on the African continent but in 21st-century Belgium: a school building, a park, imperial myths, and citizens of African descent. In the exhibition and this adjoining publication, the concept Congoville is the starting point for 15 contemporary artists to address colonial history and ponder its aftereffects as black flâneurs walking through a postcolonial city. Doorheen de tentoonstelling en deze bijhorende publicatie is Congoville de context waarbinnen 15 hedendaagse kunstenaars, als zwarte flâneurs op pad in een postkoloniale stad, het koloniale verleden en de impact ervan adresseren.     Abstract: The European Axis policy remains largely unwritten. Little is known about the factors that united or divided the Fascist regime and the Nazi Reich regarding the post-war order. Furthermore, even less is known about the Italian plans for a fascist Europe, which wartime events soon relegated to the margins of Axis policy. This book reconstructs the debate on the new European order developed from the 1930s to the spring of 1943 by Fascist politicians, philosophers, writers, anthropologists, and geographers. The debate progressed alongside the evolution of the international framework and in parallel with the war. The diachronic examination of these projects, where distinctive elements of Fascist ideology were instrumentally entwined with Latin and Catholic tradition, allows us to recover the thread of relations between Italy and Germany and between Italy and the minor allies of the Axis. The very choice of words - Fascist Europe, Axis Europe, Catholic Europe or Europe of Nations - reflects a shift in the balance of power: from collaboration to competition, from fear to an attempt to regain prominence. In 1943, the idea of a Europe of nations with an explicitly anti-German intent was the final, unrealistic assertion toward a new order where Axis Europe was not just Nazi Europe

Ogni portamento, per ciascuna specie, è stato definito sulla base di dati oggettivi ottenuti su gruppi omogenei di cultivar ed in particolare su idonee cultivar di riferimento. Oltre alle illustrazioni grafiche dei singoli portamenti e ad un approccio comparato tra le diverse specie, sono fornite anche le definizioni dei termini specifici (glossario). The Laboratory has taken on a call for competition articulated in two phases with the subject of the design of a building with a strong public vocation, with the aim of subjecting the students to a design experimentation based on the simulation of a real participation in a design competition. The roofed market of San Giovanni di Dio in the Monteverde district in Rome, has been the theme of the year for the students, producing ten answers, in which the students have respected both the qualitative and quantitative indications and the number of elaborated required, keeping together the complexity of the architectural project and its executive and constructive aspects. The book is completed by contributions by Carmelo Baglivo, Lorenzo Netti, Valerio Palmieri and Efisio Pitzalis, followed by conclusions by Francesco Costanzo and Federica Visconti
    Abstract: Il volume raccoglie gli esiti del Laboratorio di Sintesi Finale del corso di Laurea Magistrale in Progettazione Architettonica MAPA presso il DiARC Dipartimento di Architettura, strutturato attorno alla compartecipazione di due discipline, la composizione architettonica e urbana, affrontata nel corso tenuto dal professore Renato Capozzi, e la progettazione esecutiva, affidata alla professoressa Erminia Attaianese. Il Laboratorio ha assunto un bando di concorso articolato in due fasi con oggetto la progettazione di un edificio a forte vocazione pubblica, con l’obiettivo di sottoporre agli allievi una sperimentazione progettuale basata sulla simulazione di una reale partecipazione ad un bando di concorso. Il mercato coperto a San Giovanni di Dio nel quartiere Monteverde a Roma, ha costituito il tema d’anno per gli studenti, producendo dieci risposte, in cui sono state rispettate sia le indicazioni qualitative e quantitative che il numero di elaborati richiesti, tenendo assieme la complessità del progetto di architettura e i suoi aspetti esecutivi e costruttivi. As Diretrizes atualizadas incluem novas recomendações sobre o abuso dos direitos humanos e a responsabilidade das empresas em suas cadeias de fornecimento, tornando-as o primeiro acordo intergovernamental nesta área. As Diretrizes estabelecem que as empresas devem respeitar os direitos humanos em todos os países em que operam. As empresas devem também respeitar as normas ambientais e laborais, por exemplo, e ter em vigor processos adequados de devida diligência para garantir que tal aconteça. Estes incluem questões como o pagamento de salários dignos, o combate à solicitação e extorsão de subornos, e a promoção do consumo sustentável. As Diretrizes são um código de conduta abrangente e não vinculativo que os países membros da OCDE e outros concordaram em promover entre o sector empresarial. Foi também posto em prática um novo e mais duro processo de queixas e mediação.

O relatório também inclui estimativas do impacto que a implementação de certas recomendações específicas poderia ter na economia.
