    Abstract: The film shows a pilgrimage to beseech the protection of the cattle, with the cattle feeding. The animals walk counter-clockwise round the wall enclosing the chapel, then they are blessed. After this a procession takes place without the cattle.

    Abstract: Im Wald geschlagene Hölzer werden zugerichtet und mit Lianen zu einem trichterförmigen Gerät mit langer Stange zusammengebunden. Frauen graben damit tief im Boden sitzende Esouma-Wurzeln aus. Im Lager werden einige Stücke in der Glut des Feuers geröstet.
    Abstract: A man named Yassi makes a tool djo. For this purpose he requires a stick about six metres long and four flat pieces of wood which he splits off from a suitable tree in the forest. In the camp he shapes the pieces of wood, tapers one end off to a point. He then splits one end of the long stick into four pieces, inserts the pieces of wood into the openings, and ties the whole so as to form a funnel. Two girls then take the finished tool and go out into the forest. They discover an esouma plant, which has a root going up to six metres into the ground, and they dig out the root piece by piece by use of the funnel. Back in the camp the girls prepare the roots to eat.

Einige Frauen nehmen ein ausgiebiges Bad. Die gesäuberten Fische werden im Lager in Blätterpackungen in der Glut des Herdfeuers geröstet und verzehrt.
    Abstract: Women, girls, and children leave a Pygmy camp to go fishing. Arriving at a small river they select an approprate place where they set up two enclosures. They then scoop out the water confined by the enclosures, perceiving a fish, they kill it by a stroke of their knives. A great stir is caused by a cat fish giving electric shocks. When the women have fished out the backwater, they bathe in a small river, then they scale and gut the caught fish. In the camp the fish are wrapped in leaves, roasted and eaten.

Die zwei Dreschgruppen bestehen jeweils aus fünf Männern, die jeweils in zwei Reihen dicht hintereinander arbeiten. Gemeinsame Mahlzeit als Gegengabe für die Arbeit. Das Auffinden einer mit Stroh ausgestopften Schafhaut leitet eine zeremonielle Brauchhandlung ein: Trauerzugparodie, Verbrennen der Schafhaut, Tanz.
    Abstract: The sheaves spread out are treshed with flails. The threshers are working in teams of five persons arranged in two lines close to each other. The discovery of a stuffed sheepskin is the beginning of a ceremonial threshing custom. After nightfall the sheepskin is burnt in the open air.

    Abstract: Das Singspiel mit gesprochenen Zwischentexten wird nach dem Rosenmontagszug auf dem Marktplatz aufgeführt. Brauchträger ist die "Freie Narrenzunft". Akteure: Sprecher, Müller, Weber - Weberin, Hanswurst - Weib, Schneider - Schneiderin, Schuster - Schusterin, Bauer - Bäuerin, Schreiber - Schreiberin, Chor der Männer und Weiber, Kapelle. Inhalt des Spiels: In der Mühle werden die Eheweiber auf Wunsch ihrer Männer verjüngt. Nachher verschmähen sie aber ihren alten Gatten und folgen jungen Kavalieren nach. Beim Hanswurstweib versagt die Mühle. Sie wird älter und häßlicher.
    Abstract: The musical comedy with spoken insertions is performed after the Shrove Monday's carnival parade in the market-place. The performance is organized by the "Freie Narrenzunft" (Free Fool's Company). Actors: speaker, miller, weaver - weaver's wife, buffoon - buffoon's wife, taylor - taylor's wife, cobbler - cobbler's wife, peasant - peasant's wife, clerk - clerk's wife, chorus of men and women, band. Subject of the play: At their husband's desire the wives are rejuvenated in the mill, but afterwards reject their old husbands and follow youg gallants. As the buffoon also wants his wife to be rejuvenated, the mill fails and the buffoon's wife is older and uglier than ever before.

    Abstract: Der vom Webstuhl heruntergenommene Stoff wird in eine außerhalb des Dorfes gelegene Walkemühle gebracht, dort in eine Holzmulde gelegt und von zwei durch eine Nockenwelle angetriebenen Holzhämmer geschlagen (gewalkt). Zwischendurch wird der Stoff mit heißem Wasser begossen. Nach dem Walken wird er zum Trocknen in die Sonne gelegt.
    Abstract: The fabric removed from the loom is taken to a fulling-mill outside the village. There it is placed into a wooden trough and beaten (fulled) by two mallets operated by cam shaft. Ocasionally hot water is sprinkled on the cloth. After fulling the cloth is left in the sun to dry.
