In the village of Glekpleple one of these is an aged dancer with her 'rendevous' dance, which she performs on joyous occasions. A chorus of women accompanies her with vocal music and hand-clapping.

    Abstract: The chief warrior of the village has left the battleground and has returned to the village to show his first trophy to the old chieftain. He performs a triumphal dance in order to call to battle those who have remained in town.

    Abstract: The film presents three Albanian lyrical women's songs and one folk dance from Zur village near Prizren. The songs are sung by five girls to the accompaniment of two tambourines (def). The folk dance, called Dy mollat e kuqe (Two red apples); is performed by a boy and a girl. The name of the dance is symbolical and designates two beautiful persons, a boy and a girl. During the dance the boy and the girl enter into competition, thus expressing their mutual love.

    Abstract: The Baule are acquainted with different games in which they throw several balls up like jugglers or whirl them around fixed at the end of two strings. The balls bounce against each other rhythmically. Sometimes they accompany their songs with a spatula, rubbed rhythmically, and this sound is reinforced by a nut shell or a bowl.

    Abstract: The Do mask together with another mask called Dje, are believed to be the most sacred beings of the Baule tribe. Women are not allowed to see this mask. Before the mask appears, two groups of young musicians each with a dancer complete with each other. Following this, the mask dances and receives the sacrifice of a fowl.

    Abstract: Vor einem Elefantenzahnorchester mit Trommeln ahmt der Nachfahre eines Berufskriegers tanzend und singend verschiedene Kampfsituationen nach. Er wird von drei Frauen, einem Glockenläuter, einem Blattwedler und einem Bläser umtanzt. Von einer weiteren Frau verspottet, tanzt er lebhafter.
    Abstract: For various activities, the Dan have groups of singers and musicians, whose playing is supposed to impart special qualities: strength for the bushclearers, majestic deportment for the chieftain, courage for the warrior. Here, an orchestra of seven elephant tusks and five drums incites the fighting-spirit of the village's greatest warrior, who, in dance form, demonstrates several battle situations.

    Abstract: The Medi dancers of Biatúò are supposed to be the best male dancers of the Ivory Coast. They have even performed in the U.S.A. In perfect artistic steps the dancers, either single or in unison, show "the slowly walking frog", "the lamb following its mother in leaps and bounds", "two fighting cocks", etc.
