    Abstract: Die Studie "Die globale Perspektive der Bildung für eine nachhaltige Entwicklung" leistet einen Beitrag zur Weiterentwicklung und Internationalisierung der Kompetenzdebatte in der Bildung für eine nachhaltige Entwicklung und liefert damit Anregungen für alle diejenigen, die sich in Forschung und Praxis mit der Entwicklung nachhaltigkeitsrelevanter Schlüsselkompetenzen befassen. Im Diskurs um Bildung für eine nachhaltige Entwicklung ist die Frage, welche Schlüsselkompetenzen durch Lernprozesse gefördert werden sollten, ein zentrales Anliegen. In den letzten Jahren sind dafür verschiedene Kompetenzkonzepte entwickelt worden. Fragestellung der Untersuchung Die Fragestellung der vorliegenden Untersuchung lautet entsprechend: Welche individuellen Schlüsselkompetenzen sind von Bedeutung, um zentrale Probleme der Weltgesellschaft verstehen und diese im Sinne einer nachhaltigen Entwicklung gestalten zu können? Die Ergebnisse einer Delphi-Studie mit Experten der Bildung für eine nachhaltige Entwicklung ausDeutschland, Großbritannien, Ecuador, Chile und Mexiko zeigen, dass es möglich ist, im globalen Zusammenhang universale nachhaltigkeitsbezogene Schlüsselkompetenzen zu charakterisieren.

How can as many protagonists as possible be persuaded to get involved in sustainable development? This book deals with the promotion of sustainable university development and provides an overview of how universities can be organised sustainably and how sustainable development can be implemented in their various functional areas.
