    Abstract: Vorbereitung eines Schaffelles und des hölzernen Trommelrahmens, Befestigung des Felles am Rahmen, Anbringen von zwei Saiten unter der Membran zur Regulierung der Resonanz. Zum Spannen der Membran wird die Trommel nahe an ein Feuer gehalten.
    Abstract: The film shows the principal stages of making an one-skin frame-drum: the preparation of skin (in the film a sheepskin is used) and the wooden frame; the way of attaching the skin to the frame; and the fixation of two strings under the membrane in order to regulate its resonance when beaten. To strengthen the membrane, the frame-drum is held near a fire.

    Abstract: Der Ghrib-Stamm besteht aus neun Untergruppen, von denen sich die meisten äußerlich durch ihre Turban Tracht unterscheiden lassen. Vorgestellt werden die Turbane der Jerarda, der Thwamer, der Fdiliyin, der Ghunayma, der Chaanba sowie einige individuelle Verschleierungsformen.
    Abstract: The Ghrib-tribe is a confederation of nine sub-groups. Most of these sub-groups differ externally from each other in their way of wearing their turban. The film deals with the Jerarda-fashion, the Thwamer-fashion, the Fdiliyin-fashion, the Ghunayma-fashion, the Chaanba-fashion, and more individual fashions: the Kechta l-Hajjaj, the Sakim Mbarek-way and the Amara bin Masud or zemala-way of veiling.

    Abstract: The film shows step how to set up destillation unit in order to extract tar from plants, and how it operates. The final tar product, composed of a kind of liquid tar (mahal) and a more heavier kind (arus) is used for curing dromedaries affected with scabs.

Gebacken wird das Brot in einer vorgeheizten Sandgrube, bedeckt mit heißem Sand, Asche und Glut. Backzeit etwa 30 Minuten.
    Abstract: The film describes how to prepare and bake khubz mtabga-bread. This kind of bread is made of two dough-layers, folded together and stuffed with mashed vegetables and pieces of animal fat. It is baked in hot sand.
