    Kurzfassung: Der Flötenbauer Dumitru Tartareanu baut eine Kernspaltflöte aus Pflaumenholz mit sechs Grifflöchern und rückseitigem Aufschnitt. Arbeitsphasen: Bau der Flötenröhre, der Anblasvorrichtung und der Grifflöcher; Einfassen der Flöte in Messingblech und Verzierungsarbeiten; letzter Schliff. (Das Spiel auf dieser Flöte zeigt Film E 1748.)
    Kurzfassung: The flute-maker Dumitru Tartareanu makes from plum wood a flue pipe with six finger holes and dorsal slit. The manufacture proceeds in the following stages: making the tube, the mouthpiece, and the holes; mounting sheet-brass and decorating; finishing touches. (The playing on this flue pipe is shown in film E 1748.)

    Kurzfassung: Der 51jährige Flötenbauer Nicolae Rugea spielt auf einer selbstgebauten, langen Kernspaltflöte mit sechs Grifflöchern und rückseitem Aufschnitt ein Rubatolied und eine Tanzweise im Aksak-Rhythmus.
    Kurzfassung: The way in which the flute with six finger holes and a mouth on the reverse side is played, as well as the techniques adapted for playing and holding it, are illustrated by an informant from Vaideeni (Sub-Carpathian hill zone in Oltenia), where the film was made.     Kurzfassung: Der Flötenbauer Dumitru Tartareanu spielt auf einer selbstgebauten Kernspaltflöte (s. Film E 1866) mit sechs Grifflöchern und rückseitigem Aufschnitt eine Rubatoweise und zwei Tanzlieder mit dem charakteristischen Gutturalton. Das Rubatospiel wurde auch ohne Gutturalton aufgenommen.

He performs one tune in tempo rubato and two dance tunes with the characteristic guttural sound. A recording was also made of the tune in tempo rubato without the guttural sound.

    Kurzfassung: Ein Achtzigjähriger spielt eine Rubatoweise sowie zwei Tanzmelodien und zeigt so die Spieltechnik seines Instrumentes (einfache Melodiepfeife, Grifflochanordnung 7 und 1). Als Experiment ist die Skala der Melodiepfeife wiedergegeben.
    Kurzfassung: The bagpiper from Alunis (sub-Carpathian hill zone of Greater Walachia) plays an instrument typical of this part of the country - a bagpipe with a simple melody pipe and a 7 + 1 finger hole arrangement. From the rather slender repertory of the eighty year-old our film illustrates a rubato tune (Doina) and two dance melodies, thus showing the playing technique characteristic for the instrument. As an experiment the scale of the melody pipe is reproduced.
