Dokumentation der Arbeitsvorgänge im Familienbetrieb des Blaudruckers Josef Koó in Steinkirchen. Bedrucken von Tischtüchern mit Modeln und von Meterware mit einer handbetriebenen Walzendruckmaschine. Färben in der Indigoküpe. Entfernen der Pappreserve im Säurebad. Schwemmen und Trocknen. Bearbeitung der Meterware mit der Mangel. Verkauf auf dem Markt.
Abstract:
This film shows the work of the dyer Josef Koó from Burgenland who uses a centuries-old resist technique to print patterns on material. A resist paste is applied to the material, which is dyed in an indigo vat and then dried. The reserve is removed, and after another drying it is smoothed and shined with a mangle. It is then sold in the market.
