Abstract:
Die 78-jährige Theresia Hanser stellt einen typischen Kalser Strohhut her. Ausgangsmaterial sind Vierer-, Sechser- und Achter-Zöpfe aus Roggenstroh. Im Osttiroler Bergdorf Kals am Großglockner waren solche Hüte bis vor wenigen Jahrzehnten Teil der weiblichen Alltags- und Arbeitskleidung.
Abstract:
The film shows the 78 years old Theresia Hanser making a straw-hat typically for Kals. Basic material are plaits made of 4, 6 and 8 rye-straws. In the Eastern Tyrolian mountain-village Kals am Großglockner such hats have been part of the female dress worn on working days a few decades ago.
