Abstract:
Ein junger Mann tötet eine Schildkröte. Mit Hilfe eines Messers perforiert er den Rückenpanzer, bricht ihn ab und legt das Fleisch ins Feuer. Er entschärft den Rand des Panzerdeckels und schmirgelt die Innenfläche mit Sand. Der fertige Löffel wird ausprobiert: Ein alter Mann und der junge löffeln eine Wassermelone aus. Auch das Fleisch wird gegessen. Während der Arbeit rauchen beide Männer abwechselnd eine Tabakspfeife.
Abstract:
The Bushmen manufacture their household gear as far as possible from natural materials. To transfer liquid foods they use a special spoon made from the shell of a tortoise. The film shows the technique of making the spoon.
