Frische Antilopenhaut wird getrocknet, abgeschabt, enthaart, mit Fett eingerieben, mit warmem Wasser getränkt, gewalkt und mit den Händen geknetet. Zum Schluß wird sie einem Mädchen als Umhang gegeben.
Abstract:
Two old men stretch and dry a fresh antelopeskin. Once dry it is scraped on both sides to remove blood stains, hair, and bits of flesh. The adze quickly loses its edge and is frequently sharpened. They rub fat and warm water into the skin and thoroughly permeate it. In this condition they knead and work the skin until it is dry and soft. It is given to a girl as a cloak.
