Abstract:
Eine Weberin schärt die zweifarbige wollene Webkette mit einem Schärbrett. Dann richtet sie ihr horizontales Griffwebgerät mit drei Kreuzstäben und zwei Litzenreihen ein. Die Webkette hält sie zwischen einem Baumstamm und ihrem Gürtel gespannt. Sie webt mit dunklem wollenem Schußfaden ein ca. 5 cm breites und mehrere Meter langes, zweifarbig gemustertes Gürtelband.
Abstract:
In Sibundoy village a female weaver makes on a warping-board the two-coloured woolen warp for weaving a band. She then arranges her horizontal heddle loom with three laze-rods and two rows of heddle loops. She keeps the warp stretched between a trunk and her belt. She weaves with a dark woolen weft a two-coloured patterned waist-band about five centimetres broad and several metres long. Bands of this kind are worn by the women round the waist to support the skirt.
