Pflügen eines Feldes mit einem von Ochsen gezogenen hölzernen Hakenpflug (Karasaban) in dem Muhacirdorf Kalecikayaköyü.
Abstract:
Especially on the often stony, steep and strongly divided fields of the Anatolian dry-farming regions, the traditional wooden plough with small iron share (karasaban) is still being used along with more modern equipment. The present film depicts a pair of oxen being put under a yoke and the plough transported to a field. There it is employed in a way characteristic of its form of construction to till parts of a fallow stubblefield. After use it is dismounted, cleaned and transported back to the farm.
