Abstract:
Der Häuptling von Amadahuna zerkleinert vor seinem Haus mit Hilfe von Machete, Mörser und Korbschalensieb Ton zu Staub, feuchtet ihn an und knetet ihn. In Kombination von Spiralwulsttechnik und direktem Formen bildet er einen Topf, glättet ihn mit einem runden Stein, färbt ihn mit Urucú rot und brennt ihn im Brennhaufen.
Abstract:
Among the Makiritare potter's work is done by men. The required clay is got in barter with neighbouring Indian groups. The applied method is a combination of coiling and direct modeling - the potter's wheel is unknown. The simple cooking vessel is baked in a short time in an unshielded fire.
