Abstract:
Der Nagelstift wird aus einem gerollten rechteckigen Stück Eisenblech verfertigt. Für den Nagelkopf wird ein quadratisches Eisenblechstück rundgeschnitten und in einem Hohlamboß buckelförmig ausgeklopft. Nagelkopf und ein Stiftende werden im Feuer erhitzt und mit Lot und einem Flußmittel aus Blei und Zink verlötet. Nach dem Abkühlen wird der Nagelkopf abgefeilt, in flüssiges Blei getaucht und poliert. Die Arbeiten werden von einem Blechschmied aus Tarim ausgeführt.
Abstract:
A square and a rectangular piece of sheet-iron are needed to make a stud; these are cut out with scissors. The pin is made out of the rolled rectangle. For the head, a circle is cut out of the square and beaten into a convex shape on a hollow anvil. The head and one end of the pin are heated, then soldered with a mixture of zinc and lead; after it has cooled off, the nail is smoothed, then dipped in liquid lead and polished.
