Abstract:
Der Töpfer aus Tarim legt einen armdicken Tonwulst auf ein Stück Sackleinen und streicht ihn zu einer rechteckigen Form aus. Dann bildet er durch Treiben und Hochziehen Seitenwände; in den so gewonnenen Hohlraum legt er ein zylindrisches, glattes Holz ein und überlappt die Seitenwände, verstreicht die Verbindungslinie und zieht das Holz heraus.
Abstract:
The potter lays a coil of clay as thick as an arm on a piece of sackcloth, spreads it and gives it a rectangular shape. He presses the clay to the sides and pulls it up in order to form the side walls, he then puts a cylindrical smooth piece of wood in the hollow which he has thus formed and causes the sides to overlap. He smooths the juncture and takes the piece of wood out.
