Abstract:
Die Bedeutung des Bollenhutes als originärer Bestandteil der Schwarzwälder Volkstracht sowie in Werbung, Fremdenverkehr und Karikaturen. Die Hutmacherin Hedwig Kaltenbach erläutert während der Arbeit die einzelnen Tätigkeiten und beschreibt die soziale Funktion des Bollenhutes. Der Lehrer Ansgar Barth erörtert die kulturgeschichtlichen Aspekte. Interviews mit Schwarzwälder Bollenhutträgerinnen und einer Touristin sowie mehrere Bildbeispiele werfen Schlaglichter auf dieses Symbol Schwarzwälder Tracht.
Abstract:
The importance of the "Bollenhut" as an original element of the traditional Black Forest costume as well as in advertising, tourism, and caricature. The hat-maker Hedwig Kaltenbach explains, while working, the different operartions and talks about the social funktion of the "Bollenhut". The teacher Ansgar Barth speaks about its cultural history. Interviews with Black Forest women wearing these traditional hats and with a female tourist as well as exemplifying pictures shed a strong light on this symbol of Black Forest costume.
