Abstract:
Am Tag vor Mariä Himmelfahrt (15. August) werden Blumen und Kräuter gesammelt und in Form eines wagenradgroßen Biedermeierstraußes zusammengebunden, um sie am "Kräuterbüschelestag" in der Kirche während des Gottesdienstes weihen zu lassen. Nach dem Kirchgang werden vor dem Rathaus die Kräuterbüschel von einer Kommission begutachtet und prämiert. Der Brauchablauf wird von dem über 80jährigen pensionierten Stadtgärtner Otto Lohmüller geschildert. Er erklärt auch, welche Kräuter in einem Büschel enthalten sein müssen, sowie ihre Funktion in Heilkunst und Volksglauben.
Abstract:
Flowers and herbs are layed out on the day before Assumption day (15. August) in the form of a gigantic cartwheel, later to be blessed during the church service. Afterwards the various presentations are judged by the retired 90 year old town gardener, Otto Lohmüller, who explains which herbs should be represented as well as their function in healing and folklore.
