Abstract:
Zwei Mädchen gehen in das Sagopalmendickicht des Dorfes Gaikorobi, um eine gefällte Sagopalme (Metroxylon spec.) aufzusuchen. Mit einer Axt brechen sie die Rindenschicht am oberen Stammteil ab und nehmen aus dem vermodernden Mark Larven des Rüsselkäfers heraus. Eines der Mädchen ißt eine rohe Larve. Die Larven werden in grüne Blätter gewickelt ins Dorf gebracht.
Abstract:
In the swamp forest two girls collect grubs from a felled sago palm after removing the bark with an ax and then picking up the insects from the rotten wood. One girl eats a grub and finally wraps the rest into long leaves for transport.
