Abstract:
Der Film dokumentiert Ausschnitte von 16 1/2 Stunden des Geburtsgeschehens bei einer etwa 20-jährigen Erstgebärenden. Sie wird von ihrer Mutter und einigen anderen Frauen betreut. Das Kind wird in tiefer Hockstellung geboren, nach Austritt der Plazenta abgenabelt und dann zum ersten Mal angelegt.
Abstract:
The film documents stages in the 16 1/2 hours of the course of labour for an approximately 20-year-old primiparous woman. She is attended by her mother and several other women. The baby is born in a low squatting position. Subsequent to the emergence of the placenta, the umbilical cord is cut. Then the baby is given the breast for the first time.
