Abstract:
Pflanzen von Maniokstecklingen (Manihot utilissima), Ernte, Transport und Reiben der Knollen, Auspressen des blausäurehaltigen Saftes durch Preßschläuche, Trocknen und Zerreiben der Maniokmasse, Backen von Fladen aus frischem Mehl auf einer Eisenplatte über offenem Feuer, Trocknen in der Sonne.
Abstract:
Women set young manioc plants, harvest the full-grown tubers, and carry them to the village. There they rasp the tubers, put the mass into pressing bags and, by pulling the bags, free it from its sap containing hydrocyanic acid. From the resulting flour they then make on an iron plate over an unshielded fire big flat cakes and leave them in the sun to dry.
