Abstract:
Zwei Frauen und ein Mädchen graben Wurzelknollen und Zwiebeln aus und sammeln Raupen, Käfer und Beeren. Auf dem Heimweg nehmen sie auch Feuerholz mit; eine Frau röstet vor ihrer Hütte eine Handvoll Raupen in der Asche des Feuers.
Abstract:
Two Bushman women and one girl are gathering food in the veld. They collect roots and tubers, larvae, beetles and berries. The film shows the gatherers passing through the bush as well as the different techniques of collecting. On their way home the women also take firewood with them, back in the camp one woman roasts a handful of larvae in the hot ashes of a fire in front of her hut.
