Abstract:
Festlich gekleidete Mädchen und Männer aus Mae Tho tanzen um einen in die Erde gesteckten grünen Baum - die Mädchen in Zweierreihen in einem inneren Kreis, die Männer in einer Kette außen. Ein Mundorgel- und ein Lautenspieler führen abwechselnd den Tanz an.
Abstract:
The dance is performed around a green tree stuck in the ground. The girls dance in a double-row in an inner circle, whilst the men form a chain as the outer circle. A reed organ player and a lute player take turns in leading the dance. The dance starts in a clockwise direction, changes then, and continues in an anti-clockwise direction up to the end.
