Abstract:
Festlich gekleidete Mädchen und junge Frauen führen in Ban Ayo vier Tänze vor der Kamera auf, hier am Tage wegen der günstigeren Lichtverhältnisse. Sie begleiten ihre Tänze mit Gesang. Diese Tänze werden vor allem am Beginn der abendlichen Liebesfeste der Dorfjugend getanzt.
Abstract:
The film shows several dances and games of the Akha girls. a) "Kasatscho": a row, singing, balancing of the knees, mincing-steps; b) "Sabumina": a row, singing, hopping with joint knees; c) "Selung-mo": round dance, a step to the side, twice balancing; d) Standing in a circle singing, rocking with the hips; e) standing in a circle, singing, clapping of the hands, bending of the knees and hips; f) "Amu-patsala" (hopping on one leg): hop-dancing on one leg with shanks hooked.
