Abstract:
On a winder, the weaver spools the yarn on to a bobbin, which, turnable about a knockout spindle, is fixed in the shuttle. She fixes the warp beam in the frame of the loom, makes the treadle mechanism ready for use, puts on the weaver's girth, puts the separating roll into position, checks the shed-formation, and then begins weaving.
