Abstract:
Eine Frau aus Huye Luang drückt mit Hilfe eines Lineals und eines Ritzeisens ein aus Quadraten bestehendes Gitter auf ungefärbten Baumwollstoff. Dann trägt sie das Negativmuster in Wachs mit Batikfeder auf und färbt den Stoff in Indigo blau. Nach Auskochen des Wachses legt sie das Tuch auf die Trockenstange.
Abstract:
A lattice pattern is pressed into the undyed cotton cloth, and then the negative of a pattern is drawn in wax with the batik pen. The cloth is then dyed blue in indigo, and the wax is finally melted out by boiling.
