Abstract:
Nachdem ein älterer Mann aus Ban Alm Bambusstreifen zubereitet hat, umflicht er zur Verstärkung einen bereits fertiggestellten Bambuskorb: den Boden und den oberen Teil des Korbes in randparalleler Flechttechnik und die untere Korbhälfte mit einem offenen Dreirichtungsgeflecht. Der Korbdeckel wird in Diagonalgeflecht hergestellt.
Abstract:
A bamboo basket, which is already finished is given a plaited coat to strengthen it. The plaitings round the bottom and the upper half of the basket run parallel to the edges whereas that covering the lower half is an open three-directional plaiting. A diagonal plaiting technique is used to make the lid.
