Abstract:
Einlegen der Baumwolle zwischen zwei sich gegenläufig drehende Walzen, Durchlauf der Baumwollfasern, Zurückbleiben der Samenkerne. Bewegung der oberen dünnen Eisenwalze über eine Pleuelstange mit dem Fuß, der unteren Holzwalze durch eine Handkurbel.
Abstract:
Cotton is put into the machine between two rollers which revolve in opposite directions. The cotton fibres are transported through these rollers and are thus separated from the seeds which had remained on them. The upper, thinner iron roller is operated with the feet by means of a connecting rod the lower wooden roller is set in motion by means of a crank handle.
