Abstract:
Ein Mann aus Huye Luang arbeitet aus einem Holzscheit mit einem Haumesser einen Armbrustschaft aus und versieht ihn mit einem Lager für den Bogen. Nachdem Kerbe, Rinne und Abzugshebel am Schaft angebracht sind, wird der aus Bambus geschnitzte Bogen mit gedrillten Hanffasern besehnt.
Abstract:
A piece of wood is chopped from a tree-stump with an axe and cut with the cutting knife to a cross-bow shaft. The position of the bow is chiselled out. The bamboo bow is whittled, tried several times in the shaft, and then wedged firmly in position. After notch, groove, and trigger have been positioned on the shaft, the bow is strung with twisted hemp fibres. After the elasticity test, arrows are whittled and trial shots carried out.
