Abstract:
Das erste und bedeutendste der alljährlichen Totengedenkfeste im Königreich Oku ist die vom Palast veranstaltete Zeremonie. Zu den öffentlichen Auftritten der Geheimgesellschaft Kwifon gehören das von einem Ziegenopfer begleitete Erscheinen der Agah-Maske, der Zug der Nokang-Masken und die Auftritte des wilden Nkock sowie der Läufermaske Mabuh.
Abstract:
The first and most important of the annual feasts in Oku commemorating the deceased is the ceremony organized by the Royal Palace. Part of the public activities of the secret society Kwifon is the appearance of the Agah mask. In its presence a goat is sacrified. Then follows the pageant of Nokang masks and appearances of the wild Nkock and of Mabuh.
