Abstract:
Nagybörzsöny/Deutschpilsen liegt nördlich von Budapest und gilt als deutsche Siedlung. Deutsche Bergleute bauten hier seit dem 13. Jh. Gold und Silber ab. Nach Aufgabe des Bergbaus im 18. Jh. und Zerfall der Weinbaukultur im 19. Jh. geriet das Dorf in wirtschaftliche Isolation. Nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg ging der Gebrauch der deutschen Sprache stark zurück. Der Film zeigt Bauten der früheren Weinbaukultur, die Kirchen, die zwei Heimatmuseen, eine Köhlerei im Walde und führt durch Gespräche und Erinnerungen zum Sprachgebrauch und zur Problematik der deutschen Muttersprache. Organisierte Pflege der Tradition wird in Szenen über eine Probe des Frauenchores und der deutschen Tanzgruppe vorgestellt.
Abstract:
Nagybörzsöny/German Pilsen is located the north of Budapest and is considered to be a German settlement. German miners have mined gold and silver there since the 13th century. After mining was abandoned in the 18th century and decline of viniculture in the 19th century, the village fell into economic isolation. After World War II the use of the German language declined. The film shows buildings from the former wine-growing culture, the churches, the two local history museums, a charcoal plant in the forest, and then proceeds to language use and to the problems of the German mother tongue via discussions and reminiscences. Organised cultivation of this tradition is presented in scenes on a rehearsal of the women's choir and of the German dance group.
