Abstract:
In einer kleingewerblich geführten Pelz- und Sämischgerberei in Rasing bei Mariazell werden 150-160 Hirsch-, Gams- und Rehhäute für die Verarbeitung zu Lederbekleidung gegerbt. Es handelt sich um Fettgerbung. Althergebrachte Geräte (Gerberbaum, Schabeisen, Walke) sind noch in Verwendung, nur zum Teil kommen neuere (Stollmaschine, Bimsmaschine) zum Einsatz.
Abstract:
In a family-owned workshop the chamois-dressing with blubber of 150-160 deer-; chamois- and roe-skins is done for work into leather-dresses. Traditional tools (scraping-wood, scraping-knife) are still in use. Tub, fulling-mill and a wringing-machine are run by waterpower. Just partly there are used more modern equipments (stretching-machine, pumice-machine) as well as electricity.
