Abstract:
Der Projektbericht basiert auf einer empirischen Erhebung, die im November 2005 in der Stadt Fulda durchgeführt wurde. Befragt wurden 200 in Fulda lebende Ausländer/innen. Die Auswertung des empirischen Materials liefert interessante Informationen über die Sozialstruktur der internationalen Wohnbevölkerung, u.a. über deren Herkunft, Staatsangehörigkeit, Geschlecht, Schulbildung, Alter, aber auch über gewählte Studienfächer, berufliche Ausbildungen und derzeitige Berufstätigkeiten, deren Familienstand, Religionszugehörigkeit, die Anzahl der Kinder sowie über Migrationsetappen, Sprachkompetenzen und Migrationsmotive. Ein abschließendes Fazit stellt die in Fulda existierenden Migrantenorganisationen und Beratungsangebote vor und formuliert Politikempfehlungen für eine kommunale Integrationsstrategie in der Stadt Fulda.
Abstract:
This research report is based on a survey, conducted in the city of Fulda in November 2005. All in all 200 foreigners living in Fulda were questioned. The analysis of the database provides interesting information on the social structure of the international population, e.g. on their origin, citizenship, gender, education, age, but also their choice of study programmes, vocational trainings and current jobs, their family status, religious affiliation, the number of children as well as about the stages of migration, language skills and motives for migration. A concluding summary presents migrants' organisations and migrants' consulting services and provides policy recommendations for an integration strategy on a municipal level in the city of Fulda.
