Kurzfassung:
From a close investigation of the life-style of the inhabitants of the Jos Plateau (Central Nigeria) the author attempts to deduce the system of thought which governs, at least implicitly, the social and moral behaviour of the people in question. The significance of the highly spiritual quality of their mental attitudes is examined from the philosophical point of view, and a parallel is drawn with Western values. (Umschlagtext)
