Kurzfassung: The book contains the results of the best research developments obtained during the implementation of major scientific events organized and carried out with the financial support of the Russian Science Foundation and the President of the Russian Federation. The scientific novelty of the work lies in the fact that for the first time at the level of Russian and international interdisciplinary social and humanitarian sciences, primarily economic and legal, firstly, philosophical concepts and regulatory legal approaches to the regulation of remote investment transactions have been studied; secondly, a set of economic and legal conditions and means of harmonizing and observing the mutual interests of participants in remote investment transactions has been developed and proposed in order to prevent and minimize potential conflicts between the parties; thirdly, the current state and international regulation of investment transactions concluded and executed on Internet platforms was critically assessed; fourthly, a system of guarantees and protection of the rights of participants in remote investment transactions is proposed, including special contractual structures and an economic and legal model for the proper fulfillment of obligations. Measures are substantiated to expand and increase the intensity of the national investment turnover based on the improvement of the current legislation regulating investments through remote digital technologies in the Internet space, which provided a solution to the world scientific problem of great socioeconomic and economic importance. Kurzfassung: The authors propose a novel measure of proximity between two sets of nominal elements. This measure describes the changes in the first set after adding the second set or changes in the second set after adding the first set. It is crucial to note that this measure is not symmetric, it means that the perturbation of the first set on the second set can be different than the perturbation of the opposition direction. The introduced set impact measure allows for the direct treatment of objects described by nominal-valued attributes. The ordinary sets, multisets, fuzzy sets, and the intuitionistic fuzzy sets are considered. The book is intended for data science professionals, philosophers as well as cognitive psychologists, who struggle with practical problems in which asymmetry of proximity of objects cannot be neglected. Kurzfassung: The book focuses on applying the data-centric security (DCS) concept and leveraging the unique capabilities of software-defined networks (SDN) to improve the security and resilience of corporate and government information systems used to process critical information and implement business processes requiring special protection. As organisations increasingly rely on information technology, cyber threats to data and infrastructure can significantly affect their operations and adversely impact critical business processes. Appropriate authentication, authorisation, monitoring, and response measures must be implemented within the perimeter of the system to protect against adversaries. However, sophisticated attackers can compromise the perimeter defences and even remain in the system for a prolonged time without the owner being aware of these facts. Therefore, new security paradigms such as Zero Trust and DCS aim to provide defence under the assumption that the boundary protections will be breached. Based on experience and lessons learned from research on the application of DCS to defence systems, the authors present an approach to integrating the DCS concept with SDN. They introduce a risk-aware approach to routing in SDN, enabling defence-in-depth and enhanced security for data in transit. Kurzfassung: This book is about methodological aspects of uncertainty propagation in data processing. Uncertainty propagation is an important problem: while computer algorithms efficiently process data related to many aspects of their lives, most of these algorithms implicitly assume that the numbers they process are exact. In reality, these numbers come from measurements, and measurements are never 100% exact. Because of this, it makes no sense to translate 61 kg into pounds and get the result—as computers do—with 13 digit accuracy. In many cases—e.g., in celestial mechanics—the state of a system can be described by a few numbers: the values of the corresponding physical quantities. In such cases, for each of these quantities, we know (at least) the upper bound on the measurement error. This bound is either provided by the manufacturer of the measuring instrument—or is estimated by the user who calibrates this instrument. However, in many other cases, the description of the system is more complex than a few numbers: we need a function to describe a physical field (e.g., electromagnetic field); we need a vector in Hilbert space to describe a quantum state; we need a pseudo-Riemannian space to describe the physical space-time, etc. To describe and process uncertainty in all such cases, this book proposes a general methodology—a methodology that includes intervals as a particular case. The book is recommended to students and researchers interested in challenging aspects of uncertainty analysis and to practitioners who need to handle uncertainty in such unusual situations.

Kurzfassung: The book addresses the challenge of living in a multilingual world from three perspectives: socio-linguistics and the study of multilingualism in contrast, philosophy of technology with its emphasis on the world as a technosphere—how it is made, how it is experienced, and how it can be managed, and then pedagogy and the question of teaching and learning to competently negotiate multilingual environments. In today‘s multicultural and multilingual world, technologies provide a common ground. The story of the technosphere as a multilingual environment offers new perspective, namely that of learning to cooperate and coordinate.

Kurzfassung: In the present book, the starting line is defined by a morphogenetic perspective on human communication and culture. The focus is on visual communication, music, religion (myth), and language, i.e., on the “symbolic forms” at the heart of human cultures (Ernst Cassirer). The term “morphogenesis” has more precisely the meaning given by René Thom (1923-2002) in his book “Morphogenesis and Structural Stability” (1972) and the notions of “self-organization” and cooperation of subsystems in the “Synergetics” of Hermann Haken (1927- ). The naturalization of communication and cultural phenomena is the favored strategy, but the major results of the involved disciplines (art history, music theory, religious science, and linguistics) are respected. Visual art from the Paleolithic to modernity stands for visual communication. The present book focuses on studies of classical painting and sculpture (e.g., Leonardo da Vinci, William Turner, and Henry Moore) and modern art (e.g., Jackson Pollock and Joseph Beuys). Musical morphogenesis embraces classical music (from J. S. Bach to Arnold Schönberg) and political songwriting (Bob Dylan, Leonhard Cohen). The myths of pre-literary societies show the effects of self-organization in the re-assembly (bricolage) of traditions. Classical polytheistic and monotheistic religions demonstrate the unfolding of basic germs (religious attractors) and their reduction in periods of crisis, the self-organization of complex religious networks, and rationalized macro-structures (in theologies). Significant tendencies are analyzed in the case of Buddhism and Christianism. Eventually, a holistic view of symbolic communication and human culture emerges based on state-of-the-art in evolutionary biology, cognitive science, linguistics, and semiotics (philosophy of symbolic forms).

Kurzfassung: Networks of today are going through a rapid evolution and there are many emerging areas of information networking and their applications. Heterogeneous networking supported by recent technological advances in low power wireless communications along with silicon integration of various functionalities such as sensing, communications, intelligence and actuations are emerging as a critically important disruptive computer class based on a new platform, networking structure and interface that enable novel, low cost and high volume applications. Several of such applications have been difficult to realize because of many interconnections problems. To fulfill their large range of applications different kinds of networks need to collaborate and wired and next generation wireless systems should be integrated in order to develop high performance computing solutions to problems arising from the complexities of these networks. This volume covers the theory, design and applications of computer networks, distributed computing and information systems. The aim of the volume “Advanced Information Networking and Applications” is to provide latest research findings, innovative research results, methods and development techniques from both theoretical and practical perspectives related to the emerging areas of information networking and applications.
