Abstract: "Pseudo-Democracy in Russia" analyses the emergence of regional political institutions in Russia after 1990. The study aims to explain which factors were instrumental in bringing about non-democratic structures in the Russian regions. Empirically, the analysis is based on an in-depth case study of the Republic of Bashkortostan which is widely regarded as one of the most authoritarian regional regimes in Russia. As key to explaining the particular way political institutions changed, the study highlights the role of informal institutions (such as networks of mutual commitment) as well as structural legacies of the old system. It addresses an almost neglected problem of transition and democratisation research which, at the same time, is of great importance for both democratisation theory and the design of reform policies: How is it possible that in an environment where democratisation seems to be the order of the day pseudo-democratic regimes that have more in common with authoritarianism than with democracy can not only emerge but even consolidate? In contrast to interpretations which account democratic deficits wholesale to cultural deficiencies or refer rather generally to elite continuity, this study stresses functional reasons for the stability of an authoritarian patrimonial regime. The central argument is that pseudo-democracies can be stable if in times of rapid social change they contribute toward a reduction of uncertainty for significant parts of the elite and remain able to deliver benefits to them.

Abstract: The first part of the dissertation describes the history of local museums and the history of scientific research on the concept of Heimat. Not only historical and ethnographic studies are taken into account, but also sociological and anthropological theories which were formulated against the background of the debate on globalisation. In this way Heimat and locality are treated as equivalent terms. The second empirical part describes and analyses the local museums of the districts Köpenick, Prenzlauer Berg, Kreuzberg and Neukölln in Berlin. The focus lies on the research on main and temporary exhibitions and the analysis of the role of material culture within the framework of the museums. This means the examination of both the thematic structuring of the exhibitions and the range of objects and their presentation. In the course of this material culture studies are taken into consideration. Coming from the first two parts a museum concept is formulated. This concept takes up the characteristics of the museums and adds the considerations on the terms Heimat and locality. In conclusion local museums are regarded as ethnographic museums which are able to reflect current social developments and discussions.

Abstract: During the time of the Weimar republic, Adele Schreiber was one of the most famous women in Germany and could be found all the accounts by well-known German women. Due to the break in her life brought about by the threatening seizure of power by the National Socialists which forced her into exile, she became forgotten and by the end of the Second World War she had already disappeared into insignificance. The following work attempts not only to explore the life of Adele Schreiber itself, but also her position in the women's movement from the turn of the century onwards, the numerous inter-connections between the separate organisations and between Adele Schreiber and other fellow-activists. Adele Schreiber is among those women who fought in the front line of the women's movement from the turn of the century onwards. Having initially committed herself intensively, as a newcomer in Berlin in 1898, to the cause of introducing an insurance for women, she fought equally hard a short time later for women's suffrage and she became involved in the issues of maternity leave and child protection. But besides all her committed socio-political activities and her work as a journalist for the attainment of women's rights, Adele Schreiber was also politically active. As a member of the Reichstag for the SPD from 1920 onwards, she strived in the political arena for a legally effective acknowledgement and declaration of women as political entities. Even after she went into exile in Switzerland and Great Britain she followed vigilantly the political developments in Germany and throughout the world until her death in 1957.

Abstract: New studies on regionalism often regard border regions and cross-border cooperation as symbols of a new quality within international relations. Since this is seen as proof of the growing decentralization of political decision-making processes and the transnationalization of foreign relations, increasing political clout is being attributed to transboundary interaction. However, such research approaches tend to ignore existing dependencies and developments which strengthen the negative image of border regions as conflict-prone and problematic. At the same time, the handling of border policies continues to be dominated by classical security-related concerns and is still decided by traditional diplomatic stake-holders. Furthermore, new border-related questions surface, based on complex interdependencies between regional and national levels as well as in the supranational and international realms. In response, this study expands the general research parameters to determine the following questions: if and how decentralized border coalitions act within the range of binational relations; whether or not they can intervene independently; what influence they have on increasingly integrated foreign policies; and in which political arenas cooperation is most likely. Independent variables beyond the local and regional level are used as points of reference regarding lasting cross-border networks. These include the state of bilateral relations, national and transcontinental integration concepts, socio-cultural conditions, and the degree of political drive towards establishing binational multileveled networks. The German-Polish and the U.S.-Mexican border regions serve as case studies. The goal is to define the political playing field, and to outline the depth and limitations of border-regional coalitions beyond local and regional demands. Two unique policy-fields are analyzed security issues which are traditionally handled by state actors on the one hand, and infrastructure, regional development, and environmental issues on the other. Special attention is given to the different strategies of European and Northamerican integration initiatives and developments.

Abstract: Many physical anthropologists study populations using data that come primarily from the historical record. For this volume's authors, the classic anthropological 'field' is not the glamour of an exotic locale, but the sometimes tedium of the dusty back rooms of libraries, archives and museum collections. This book tells of the way in which archival data inform anthropological questions about human biology and health. The authors present a diverse array of human biological evidence from a variety of sources including the archaeological record, medical collections, church records, contemporary health and growth data and genetic information from the descendants of historical populations. The papers demonstrate how the analysis of historical documents expands the horizons of research in human biology, extends the longitudinal analysis of microevolutionary and social processes into the present and enhances our understanding of the human condition

Abstract: This 2003 book is an important full-length study of the Portuguese royal court in the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries. It describes the fundamental importance of the court in defining the social position of kings, and shows how kings and nobles redefined one another, despite many celebrated political rivalries within the broader Iberian context. The book contains a detailed comparative analysis of the way royal courts were organized, and of the status, professional and gender groups inside the Portuguese court. The characteristics of the court society as a whole, however, were rooted mostly in the dynamics of hierarchy and interdependence - in the specific ways the different parts and the individuals were bonded to each other. These bonds are discussed in light of later medieval concepts and theories. The book also describes the constant displacement of this complex community within Portugal, and how life at court was shaped by ceremonial duties and common activities

Abstract: Between Culture and Biology breaks away from the traditional nature/nurture dialectic and brings together biological, psychological and cultural perspectives on development. In this thought-provoking book, the argument is put forward that the biological bases of behaviour and cultural context should be approached in an integrated fashion to properly understand ontogenetic development and that both the cultural and biological demain provide constraints and opportunities for development. It also examines the influence that various perspectives have had on developmental theory and the extent to which cultural ideas and practices reflect biological and psychological constraints. By drawing together editors and contributors who are all leading experts in their field, with diverse theoretical perspectives from a range of disciplines Between Culture and Biology develops an integrative approach to this fascinating topic while preserving intellectual depth and complexity

Abstract: Despite the substantial social and economic implications of the World Wide Web, there is still a surprising lack of empirical research on Web usage. Specifically, at the level of the individual user, little is known about key issues of Internet usage, such as the trajectory of change over time in the number of visits to Web sites, the degree of individual loyalty to Web sites, and the demographics that determine Web usage. In order to overcome this lack of research, we report in this dissertation the results of several interrelated studies of individual Web usage patterns of average citizens from the Pittsburgh area. This dissertation advances the research on individual Web usage by: - analyzing the impact of increasing Web site visiting opportunities on Web utilization rates of individual users, - employing session-based measures to data on individual Web usage in order to identify how Web users change the way they use the Web as their level of expertise increases, - analyzing whether different user groups also differ in loyalty to Web sites and whether users converge over time to a set of favorite Web sites, - specifically dealing with the issue of Web portal utilization to answer the question whether Web portal users are different from average Web users. We develop measures of Web usage that are particularly relevant from a business and public policy perspective. By applying these measures to longitudinal data on Web usage, we identify significant trends in individual Internet usage. For example, we reveal that individual Web usage is not distributed equally across subgroups of users. Web users can be clustered into four groups with distinct trajectories of Web usage. All groups reach saturation in their extent of Web usage after following a downward path. Further, most Web users spent only limited time in the Web and only a small group of users uses the Web heavily. Also, users show consistently little loyalty to Web sites. Surprisingly, as Web users gain experience in using the Web, there does not seem to be a significant shift from undirected browsing to directed access of Web sites over time. We apply regression models in order to predict the determinants of Web utilization. Individual characteristics, such as ethnic background, gender, household income, phone usage, e-mail usage, and computer skill level, determine Web usage. Thus, the results have implications for both electronic commerce and public policy as it pertains to the digital divide. They are particularly useful for marketing departments, especially in the information and communication industry. Discussions of Web user loyalty and Web visiting opportunities as conducted in this dissertation are relevant to business models in use in business-to-consumer electronic commerce, especially for Internet companies that rely on advertising income generated from serving banner advertisements and companies that need to maintain a high degree of customer loyalty. The results also provide the factual foundation for key policy initiatives to promote access to the Internet for all groups of people. Policy makers need data on Internet usage in order to measure the size of a possible digital divide and ensure that everybody belonging to the present and the next generation - and not a subgroup of people only - has access to the Internet. In summary, this study advances the empirical foundation for understanding individual Web use. The findings of this dissertation will be useful to stakeholders in the new Information Age, in particular marketing departments and policy makers.

Was evolviert?
Abstract: This thesis deals with the interrelations between nature and culture from the perspective of evolutionary theory. The theoretical starting point is an overall social-ecological model that focuses on the physical interactions between societies and their natural environments. This social-ecological approach aims to describe society-nature interactions without reverting to "naturalistic" or "culturalistic" reductions. Society is understood here to be a hybrid comprising symbolic as well as material elements. Thus, the approach proposed here seeks to bridge what Snow in his well-known book termed the "two cultures," namely the culture of the sciences and culture of the humanities. The first chapter of this thesis proposes an overall social-ecological framework that is positioned in these terms. Beginning with a description of three socio-ecological models, as proposed by scientists from three different disciplines -- Stephen Boyden a human ecologist, Maurice Godelier, a cultural anthropologist, and Rolf Peter Sieferle, an environmental historian -- I proceed to develop my own epistemological model of society-nature interactions that is both consistent with central concepts of the social sciences and compatible with a natural sciences perspective. Some of the hypotheses elaborated upon in the first chapter are then exposed to empirical testing, whereby the famous two-year enclosure experiment "Biosphere 2" serves as a social-ecological case study. The third chapter resumes the theoretical discussion, focusing however on the concepts themselves of society and culture. The question of whether a systems approach is useful for and compatible with a socio-ecological model is discussed from a conceptual as well as a terminological point of view, as is the position of such a theory with regard to cultural-anthropological and sociological theories. It is concluded that a systems model is useful and necessary in a limited sense, yet the leading difference/s between nature and culture is/are reconfirmed. The fourth chapter strives to develop a theory of cultural evolution, based upon the positions elaborated thus far and beginning with a classification and discussion of various attempts to adapt evolutionary thinking to society or culture. Key questions here include: What is evolution? What evolves? When is it possible to speak of cultural evolution? My work leads me to suggest the use of an abstract version of the Darwinian algorithm in combination with systems theory to develop a concept of cultural evolution. Finally, I draw conclusions regarding a possible theory of society-nature co-evolution. The potential for empirical realisation is explored and an attempt is made in summing up to define the conditions necessary for a transition towards sustainable development.

Abstract: This habilitation is examined the radical socioeconomic change in agrarian districts of East Germany and the impact of this modernisation process on the working and living conditions of families, and especially the young people. The study scrutinises the status passage of the young generation (16 to 18 year old school leavers) on the backround of the socioeconomic situation of their families. It takes into account the familial and life world context of the socialisation process and looks at the status passage from school to work as a process of translating the changing social conditions into patterns of value orientation, life course planning, and biography construction. Representative questionings and interviews of the young people and their parents are the empirical basis for this study. The special charm of this research project is the historical comparison with studies on life conditions and ways of life of young people in the GDR during the 70s.

Abstract: In human populations, biological, social, spatial, ecological and economic aspects of existence are inextricably linked, demanding a holistic approach to their study. Many undergraduate and postgraduate courses now emphasise the value of studying human populations using theoretical frameworks and methodologies from different traditional disciplines. Human Population Dynamics introduces such frameworks and methodologies whilst demonstrating how changes in human population structure can be addressed from several different academic perspectives. As such, the book contains contributions from world-renowned researchers in demography, social and biological anthropology, genetics, biology, sociology, ecology, history and human geography. In particular, the contributors emphasise the lability of many population structures and boundaries, as viewed from their area of expertise. This text is aimed at undergraduate students, graduates and academic researchers from any academic discipline which considers human populations

Abstract: The efforts of fascism to form a 'culture of consent,' or shape depoliticized activities, in Italy between the world wars, make a unique portrait of fascist political tactics. Professor de Grazia focuses on the dopolavoro or fascist leisure-time organization, the largest of the regime's mass institutions. She traces its gradual rise in importance for the consolidation of fascist rule; its spread in the form of thousands of local clubs into every domain of urban and rural life; and its overwhelming impact on the distribution, consumption, and character of all kinds of recreational pursuits - from sports and adult education to movies, traveling theaters, radio, and tourism. The author shows how fascism was able, between 1926 and 1939, to build a new definition of the public sphere. Recasting the public sphere entailed dispensing with traditional class and politically defined modes of organizing those social roles and desires existing outside the workplace

Abstract: The phenomena risk and crisis as challenges facing the management of communications processes in business, politics, and society provide the subject for this work, the goal of which is a theoretically-based framework laying the groundwork for operative measures in communications with respect to risk and crisis situations. Having first defined relevant terms and conditions for communication, the work analyses risk and crisis communications from the standpoint of a game and illustrates the structures created as the game runs its course. These structures are crucial elements in determining not only participants' but also observers' freedom to act and the expectations they develop. In addition to a critical discussion of available models for the management of risk and crisis communications, the work contains the results of a standardized written polling of experts in the field of corporate communications. Crucial goals of this research were to identify and quantify apparent differences in the assessment of theory and practice. Observations as to how to maintain and ensure the continuation of communication systems provide the overlying framework for risk and crisis communications, for which aspects of image preservation, together with processes, rituals, and procedures, play an important role.

Note: Includes bibliographical references and index , "Ferdinand Tonnies's Gemeinschaft und Gesellschaft (first published in 1887) is a classic of social and political theory in the later-modern period. It focuses on the universally endemic clash between small-scale, kinship and neighbourhood-based 'communities' and large-scale competitive market 'societies'. This theme is explored in all aspects of life - in political, economic, legal and family structures; in art, religion and culture; in constructions of 'selfhood' and 'personhood'; and in modes of cognition, language and human understanding. Tonnies is best known as one of the 'founding fathers' of modern sociology, but the present work lays greater emphasis on his relationship to European political thought and to developments in philosophy since the seventeeth-century scientific revolution, particularly the legacies of Hobbes and Kant. It can be read at many different levels: as a response to developments in Bismarckian Germany; as a more general critique of the culture of modernity; as a theoretical exercise in social, political and moral science; and as an unusual commentary on the inner character of 'democratic socialism'. This new translation and introduction make Tonnies's classic but difficult work accessible to English-speaking readers interested in social and political theory, intellectual and social history, language and cultural studies, and the history of economic thought."--Jacket , Bk. 1. Abstract: Individuals, Institutions, and Markets offers a theory of how the institutional framework of a society emerges and how markets within institutions work. The book shows that both social institutions, defined as the rules of the game, and exchange processes can be analyzed along a common theoretical structure. Mantzavinos' proposal is that a problem solving model of individual behavior inspired by the cognitive sciences provides such a unifying theoretical structure. Integrating the latest scholarship in economics, sociology, political science, law, and anthropology, Mantzavinos offers a genuine political economy showing how social institutions affect economic outcomes

Abstract: Ferdinand Tönnies' Gemeinschaft und Gesellschaft (first published in 1887) is a classic of social and political theory, which explores the clash between small-scale neighbourhood-based 'communities' and large-scale competitive market 'societies'. Tönnies considers all aspects of life - political, economic, legal and family; art, religion and culture; the construction of 'selfhood' and 'personhood'; and modes of cognition, language and understanding. Often recognised as one of the founding texts of sociology, Gemeinschaft und Gesellschaft is also a highly significant contribution to European political thought and philosophy, with particular relevance to the legacies of Hobbes and Kant. It is at once a response to modernity, a theoretical exercise in social, political and moral science, and an unusual commentary on the inner character of 'democratic socialism'. This new English rendition will introduce Tönnies' work to a fresh generation of English-speaking readers with interests in social and political theory and the history of European ideas

Abstract: Plants and animals originally domesticated in the Near East arrived in Europe between 7000 and 4000 BC. Was the new technology introduced by migrants, or was it an 'inside job'? How were the new species adapted to European conditions? What were the immediate and long-term consequences of the transition from hunting and gathering to farming? These central questions in the prehistory of Europe are discussed here by leading specialists, drawing on scholarship in fields as diverse as genetics and IndoEuropean linguistics. Detailed studies document the differences between European regions, and fresh generalisations about the origins of European agriculture are also proposed and debated

Abstract: The occasion for this thesis gave the behave of mobility of coal-workers after the social changes in 1990. Although the workers have been a "product" of the modern society, which is a mobile one, and in spite of the obvious existing lack of perspectives in economy respectively in this region, only some of them were willing to local and professional changes. This phenomenon, I called it "behaviour of waiting", was the starting point of the thesis. The question for the structural reasons and individual motives for the special mobility behaviour of coal-workers lead to the question for its origins. The aim of the thesis is to explain the local and social immobility of people after 1990 ?? The thesis bases on the theory that the structure of population and employed persons in this region is the result of extensive processes of mobility and shifts in social structure connected with it. The social event "industrialization" influenced the mobility processes in a special way. The specific behaviour of industrial workers is embedded in the description of the development of the economic area, because it leads back to the former economic pattern and especially to the stimulating structures and behavioural patterns working there. Discussing the question of regional mobility, its reasons and consequences the thesis deals with a deficit of previous studies concerning mobility and industrial societies. Up to now social (late)consequences of the strong population mobility during the industrialization process weren't hardly realized in the field of research. Considering this context the mobility of individual social groups became a social phenomenon which caused new problems, although it solved problems existing at this time.

Abstract: The decline of the socialist governments in Eastern and Central Europe and the resulting political and economic reorganizations of the 1990s provided a dramatic illustration of the far-reaching effects of social change. For those interested in the health and well-being of youth, such instances of social upheaval raise the question of how young people are affected socially and psychologically by societal changes, and whether their development is compromised or enhanced. This important volume considers the processes through which societal changes exert an impact on the course of adolescent development and identify individual and contextual factors that can modify the impact of social change and enhance the likelihood of a successful transition to adulthood

Abstract: This book presents a systematic overview and assessment of the impacts of politics on the media, and of the media on politics, in authoritarian, transitional and democratic regimes in Russia, Spain, Hungary, Chile, Italy, Great Britain, Germany, Japan, the Netherlands, and the United States. Its analysis of the interactions between macro- and micro-level factors incorporates the disciplinary perspectives of political science, mass communications, sociology and social psychology. These essays show that media's effects on politics are the product of often complex and contingent interactions among various causal factors, including media technologies, the structure of the media market, the legal and regulatory framework, the nature of basic political institutions, and the characteristics of individual citizens. The authors' conclusions challenge a number of conventional wisdoms concerning the political roles and effects of the mass media on regime support and change, on the political behavior of citizens, and on the quality of democracy

Abstract: The Amerindian peoples of Guiana, the geographical region of north-east South America, have long been recognized as forming a distinct variety of the tropical forest culture. In this book, Peter Riviere employs a comparative perspective to reveal that Guianan societies, generally characterized as socially fluid and amorphous, are in fact much more highly structured than they first appear, and he identifies certain common patterns of social organization that result from sets of individual choices and relationships. By contrasting the characteristics of Guianan society with those from elsewhere in Lowland South America, he constructs a spectrum of complexity of Amerindian social structure, and argues that the Guianan variant represents the logically simplest form of organization in the area.

Abstract: The world of the Indian Untouchable is often invisible behind that of the dominant Hindu caste, but it is of no less significance for the understanding of contemporary Indian society. The Untouchables, like the caste Hindu, have been substantially affected by the political, economic and social changes that are occurring in independent India. While India has legally abolished untouchability, the society scarcely has and the Untouchables continue to face social resistance and deprivation. However, the changing social circumstances have given rise to a new awareness and increased expectations among the Untouchables and, although their social achievements may have been limited, they are engaged in a process of questioning and reformulating old definitions of self and society. This book is a study of the new frame of mind of the Untouchable. The work presents a complete discussion of the value structure and meaning of Untouchable ideology. It is a subtle combination of sensitive ethnographic data, taken from a field study of the Chamars of Lucknow, with an analysis of Untouchable accounts of their perceptions and experiences expressed in their own terms and a penetrating interpretation of wider cultural concepts.

Abstract: The Minaksi Temple is one of the largest, most celebrated and most popular Hindu temples in India. Situated in the ancient south Indian city of Madurai, it is dedicated to the goddess Minaksi and her husband the god Sundaresvara, a form of the great god Siva. Minaksi's principal servants in the Temple are the priests who carry out all the elaborate rituals for her and Sundaresvara, and these priests are the subject of this book. Drawing upon his extensive field research in the Temple, Dr Fuller discusses the role of the priests in the Temple and their place in the wider society. He looks at their rights and duties in the Temple, and at the changes in their position that have occurred since the establishment of a modern government and legal system. Throughout his book, the author situates his detailed analysis of the Minaksi Temple priesthood within its wider social and historical context, and relates it to the previous work of anthropologists, as well as of historians, Sanskritists and legal scholars.

Abstract: This book looks at the rise, during this century, of planned development. Most discussion has stressed differences in the style, content and organization of planning in various countries, but this book focuses on the similarities, arguing that it is done in much the same way everywhere, and for basically the same reasons. It begins by tracing the history of modern planning to the efforts of Russia and the western countries earlier this century to organize and control industrialization and economic growth. It looks at the characteristic structures, processes and organizations; of planning and the conflicts in intentions and aspirations of modern states and of ordinary people. A detailed case study of planning in Malaysia is also included.

Abstract: The history of the family has become an area of great interest, yet the property arrangements entered into upon marriage, a crucial aspect of the process of familial wealth transmission and distribution in the landed classes in early modern England, have never been systematically studied. In the light of evidence provided by hitherto unused family muniments, Dr Bonfield analyses the legal, social and economic aspects of these settlements, and discusses the development and impact of the strict settlement

Abstract: Hage and Harary present a comprehensive introduction to the use of graph theory in social and cultural anthropology. Using a wide range of empirical examples, the authors illustrate how graph theory can provide a language for expressing in a more exact fashion concepts and notions that can only be imperfectly rendered verbally. They show how graphs, digraphs and networks, together with their associated matrices and duality laws, facilitate the study of such diverse topics as mediation and power in exchange systems, reachability in social networks, efficiency in cognitive schemata, logic in kinship relations, and productivity in subsistence modes. The interaction between graphs and groups provides further means for the analysis of transformations in myths and permutations in symbolic systems. The totality of these structural models aids in the collection as well as the interpretation of field data. The presentation is clear, precise and readily accessible to the nonmathematical reader. It emphasizes the implicit presence of graph theory in much of anthropological thinking.

Abstract: The Bará, or Fish People, of the Northwest Amazon form part of an unusual network of intermarrying local communities scattered along the rivers of this region. Each community belongs to one of sixteen different groups that speak sixteen different languages, and marriages must take place between people not only from different communities but with different primary languages. In a network of this sort, which defies the usual label of 'tribe', social identity assumes a distinct and unusual configuration. In this book, Jean Jackson's incisive discussions of Bará marriage, kinship, spatial organization, and other features of the social and geographic landscape show how Tukanoans (as participants in the network are collectively known) conceptualize and tie together their universe of widely scattered communities, and how an individual's identity emerges in terms of relations with others. As theoretically challenging as it is unique, the Tukanoan system bears on a wide range of issues of current anthropological concern, such as how to analyze open-ended regional systems in small-scale societies, ideal versus actual patterns of behaviour, identity as both structure and action, and indigenous use of multiple, even conflicting, models of social structure. Professor Jackson's thoughtful discussions also extend to broader social scientific issues concerning the relation of language to culture, the presence or absence of individualism in pre-state societies, the nature of ethnic boundaries, the interplay between observation of behaviour and its interpretation (on the part of both native and anthropologist), and the achievement of flexibility and self-interested goals while applying seemingly rigid social structural principles.

Abstract: Anthropological enquiry is best done by attending equally to both social and cultural material. This is the view propounded here by Marvin Davis, who uses such an holistic approach to develop an original perspective on hierarchy and politics in rural Bengal. In the first part of the book, Professor Davis describes the indigenous theory of rank held by Hindus in rural West Bengal and shows that the premise of inequality is a central organising principle of their entire society and cosmos. In the second part, he shows that the Bengali preoccupation with rank generates frequent political rivalries at each level of rural social organisation. His book will interest all anthropologists and other social scientists concerned with the social and political organization of rural India. In addition, his explication of the links between ideology and social structure, often viewed in isolation from each other, makes the book an important contribution to anthropological theory and method.
