    Abstract: Malaise dans la ville s’inscrit dans la continuité de Ville infectée, ville déshumanisée, paru dans cette même collection. Tout en poursuivant l’entreprise pluridisciplinaire du premier ouvrage, le champ de réflexion a été élargi, de même que la période de référence. Le programme de recherche « Reconstructions littéraires françaises et francophones des espaces sociopolitiques, historiques et scientifiques » a donc réuni des écrivains, des philosophes, des sociologues et historiens, des urbanistes, des spécialistes de sciences cognitives et, bien entendu, de critique littéraire, s’intéressant au « mal de vivre » en milieu urbain. Le livre est organisé selon quatre axes : la première partie est consacrée à des regards croisés sur la pérennité du sentiment de malaise ; la seconde rend compte du malaise urbain au carrefour de la littérature, de l’urbanisme et de la sociologie ; la troisième aborde la question des interactions conflictuelles entre langue(s), géographie, genre, économie et religion.     Abstract: Focusing on Stendhal, G{caron}rard de Nerval, George Sand, {C9}mile Zola, and Marcel Proust, The Novel Map: Mapping the Self in Nineteenth-Century French Fiction explores the ways that these writers represent and negotiate the relationship between the self and the world as a function of space in a novel turned map. With the rise of the novel and of autobiography, the literary and cultural contexts of nineteenth-century France reconfigured both the ways literature could represent subjects and the ways subjects related to space. In the first-person works of these authors, maps situate the narrator within the imaginary space of the novel. Yet the time inherent in the text?s narrative unsettles the spatial self drawn by the maps and so creates a novel self, one which is both new and literary. The novel self transcends the rigid confines of a map. In this significant study, Patrick M. Bray charts a new direction in critical theory

    Abstract: Immer weniger Franzosen lernen Deutsch und auch in Deutschland werden dem Französischen immer häufiger andere Sprachen vorgezogen. Der Grund ist meistens gleich: Sprachen wie Spanisch gelten als einfacher, als weltweit bedeutender oder, schon allein des Landes und der Leute wegen, als attraktiver. Matthias Lahr-Kurten untersucht auf Basis von mehr als 70 Experteninterviews und umfangreicher Literatur, welche Bedeutung der jeweils anderen Landessprache beigemessen wird, welche Maßnahmen zur Förderung ergriffen werden und welche Probleme sich dabei ergeben. Abgesehen von gegenseitigen Vorurteilen, die durch die Weltkriege geprägt wurden, steht der Unterricht beider Sprachen im Ruf, zu sehr auf Grammatik und deshalb zu wenig auf Kommunikation ausgerichtet zu sein. Trotz starker Initiativen im Bereich der Sprachförderung - etwa durch das Institut Français und die Goethe-Institute, durch Austauschprogramme und privates Engagement - nehmen die Schülerzahlen ab. Viele Experten sind sich sicher, dass vor allem persönliche Begegnungen zum Weiterlernen animieren. Zusätzlich wird für die Entscheidung zur Partnersprache Deutsch oder Französisch geworben, nicht nur von Lehrern, deren Kurse sonst oft nicht zustande kommen, sondern sogar im Fernsehen. Durch die Freude am Medium erzielt etwa der Fernsehsender ARTE ein spielerisches Lernen, erreicht allerdings nur Menschen, die sich ohnehin für beide Sprachen oder den europäischen Kontext interessieren. Matthias Lahr-Kurten schlägt beispielsweise eine langfristige Imagekampagne vor. Diese soll die negativen Deutschland- und Frankreichbilder abbauen, Vorteile am Erlernen der Sprache aufzeigen und möglichst in den öffentlich-rechtlichen Sendern eingesetzt werden. Schließlich überträgt sich Interesse nicht, sondern muss bei jeder Generation und jeder Person neu geweckt werden. (ifa)

S’il existe une typologie des femmes publiques aussi riche, la responsabilité en revient au premier chef aux journalistes, chroniqueurs, échotiers, illustrateurs et caricaturistes, écrivains oubliés ou à jamais illustres qui ont dénommé les filles qu’ils croisaient sur les trottoirs de la capitale, le long des boulevards ou dans les faubourgs, au théâtre, au bal ou à l’Opéra, dans les cafés, sur les Champs-Élysées et au sein de quelques salons. Mais si les catins parisiennes de l’époque ont eu le bonheur d’entrer dans l’histoire, cela tient d’abord à leur fortune littéraire. Les frères Goncourt, Baudelaire, Eugène Sue, Théophile Gautier, les Dumas, père et fils, Tristan Corbière, Huysmans, Zola, Balzac, Flaubert, Maupassant, Barbey d’Aurevilly ont tous témoigné, à des degrés divers, de leur intérêt vis-à-vis de ces dames, les dégageant des vils clichés auxquels elles étaient réduites et contribuant à changer le regard que la société leur portait jusque-là. Ces grands noms, le lecteur les connaît. Leurs ouvrages, Nana, La Dame aux camélias, Splendeurs et misères des courtisanes, etc., il les a parfois lus à un âge et dans un cadre, scolaire et donc pudique, qui ne lui ont pas toujours permis de saisir qu’ils avaient tous pour sujet… les lorettes !

    Abstract: How to talk when you learn a foreign language? The language of the learner does not match from the beginning of the target language, it is characterized by numerous "errors" that are partially pre-programmed by the interference of the mother tongue. This language can be used as interlangue (Lerner Language) - a language between the target language and the mother tongue - are referred to. Empirical research on learner language are still not very present in linguistics, especially in the area of ​​lexis. The theme of this work is the presentation of the development of interlangue a germano-speaking Austrian student during his four years of learning French as a foreign language
    Abstract: Wie spricht man, wenn man eine Fremdsprache lernt? Die Sprache der Lernenden entspricht nicht von Anfang an der Zielsprache, sie ist durch zahlreiche „Fehler“ geprägt, die teilweise durch die Interferenz der Muttersprache vorprogrammiert sind. Diese Sprache kann als interlangue (Lernersprache) – eine Sprache zwischen der Zielsprache und der Muttersprache – bezeichnet werden. Empirische Forschungen über die Lernersprache sind nach wie vor in der Linguistik vor allem im Bereich der Lexik wenig vorhanden. Das Thema der vorliegenden Arbeit ist die Darstellung der Entwicklung der interlangue eines germanophonen österreichischen Schülers während seiner vier Lernjahre in Französisch als Fremdsprache.Quand on apprend une langue étrangère, que parle-t-on ? La langue des apprenants ne correspond pas dès le début à la langue cible, mais elle est pleine de « fautes » partiellement « programmées » par l‘interférence de la langue maternelle. C‘est une véritable interlangue – une langue entre la langue cible et la langue maternelle.La recherche empirique linguistique sur l’interlangue est encore insuffisante, tout particulièrement dans le domaine du lexique.Le sujet de la présente étude est l‘évolution de l‘interlangue d‘un élève autrichien germanophone pendant ses quatre années d’apprentissage scolaire du français langue étrangère. En analysant la totalité de sa production langagière française écrite pendant ces quatre années, on comprendra le développement de son interlangue au niveau du lexique : l‘évolution de ses fautes lexicales (leur répétition, leur modification, leur disparition et leur persistance dans certains cas), mais aussi l‘utilisation correcte du vocabulaire appris. L‘analyse est complétée par un carnet de statistiques qui montre de façon impressionnante comment augmente d‘année en année le contenu du lexique mental bilingue et comment évolue la relation entre le vocabulaire appris et le vocabulaire utilisé, de même que la relation entre le vocabulaire utilisé de manière correcte et celui utilisé de manière fautive.La méthodologie choisie d‘une étude longitudinale permet de montrer la dimension dynamique de l‘interlangue, tout cela dans un domaine crucial de l‘apprentissage d‘une langue étrangère – le lexique

    Abstract: Les Français n’ont été ni sourds ni muets quant à l’extermination des Juifs. Non, il ne leur a pas fallu trente ou quarante ans pour accepter de saisir le plus grand crime de l’histoire. Dès le lendemain de la guerre, les élites ont élaboré une véritable pensée du génocide où les catholiques et les protestants ont eu une part immense, dont on n’avait pas pris la mesure jusqu’ici. Les intellectuels de tout bord ont été pris à la gorge par la spécificité de ce phénomène. Bien sûr, la culpabilité a joué un rôle, mais contrairement à une idée reçue, elle a été assumée, proférée, et c’est elle qui a animé le mouvement de réception de l’événement et sa progressive extension à tout le corps social. Lorsque, en 1967, la guerre des Six-Jours éclate, elle rencontre une opinion publique déjà très bien instruite et sensibilisée au drame des Juifs par vingt années de romans, de films, de récits, de témoignages. Il y a eu en France un « syndrome de Vichy », mais pas de « syndrome de la Shoah ». Pourtant, quand, dans les années 1970 et 1980, le regard sur les années noires de Vichy a changé et qu’il est devenu moins bienveillant, un mythe global est né : celui d’une France malade de son passé et incapable de se regarder en face. En fait, la réalité est autre : si les Français ont occulté Vichy, ils n’ont pas occulté l’extermination des Juifs. Pour le prouver, François Azouvi livre ici la première étude systématique de tout ce qui a été écrit, publié ou produit en France sur la Shoah depuis 1945.
