    Abstract: Planieren des Bauplatzes, Setzen und Verbinden der Wandpfosten, Einbau des Fußbodens, Errichten eines Erdofens, Anlegen der Feuerstelle im Haus, Einbringen und Verlegen des Fußbodenbelags aus Baumrinde, Errichten der Hüttenwand aus Holzbohlen und Verbinden der Bohlen, Verteilen der im Erdofen gegarten Speisen, Errichten der Dachkonstruktion und Decken des Daches. Der Rundbau mit Satteldach wird während eines Tages (9 Stunden) mit bereitgehaltenem Material in Gemeinschaftsarbeit fertiggestellt.
    Abstract: The bent hut of a family in Malingdam/Imarin is reconstructed with the help of men and boys of the settlement. The new house, a circular building with a saddle-roof, is built with prepared materials in one day, within nine hours. Posts, beams, poles, and boards are only attached by rotan strings. Food cooked in the earth oven is distributed to the helpers.

    Abstract: Männer bewirtschaften das Gartenland unterhalb von Malingdam wieder, das mehrere Jahre zum Regenerieren brachgelegen hat: Niederschlagen der Sekundärvegetation, Terrassieren mit Grabstock (Hochbeetbau), Pflanzen von Stecklingen, Errichten eines Zaunes. Nach 22 Arbeitstagen ist die Arbeit abgeschlossen.
    Abstract: After several years of fallow the garden area below Malingdam is cultivated again. After chopping down the secondary vegetation, the slope is terraced with the digging stick and with the hands. The beds are planted with sweet potato cuttings and taro sprouts. The work is done individually: every man prepares and cultivates "his" plot of ground owned by the community.

    Abstract: Uwok, ein führender Mann aus Malingdam, erklettert einen Baum (Sloanea tieghemii) des Bergwaldes, um Brennholz zu gewinnen. Er schlägt mit dem Steinbeil (Querbeil) einen dicken Ast des relativ harten Holzes ab und trägt ihn fort.
    Abstract: To provide firewood Uwok, a leading man in Malingdam, climbs up a tree (Sloanea tieghemii) in the mountain-forest and cuts off a big branch of relatively hard wood by means of a stone adze. The work being well done, the blade (of andesite) remains undamaged since crossfibres are carefully avoided.
