Abstract:
The book seeks to portray, in vivid detail, the traditional arts and crafts of Nepal which are the very fabrics of Nepalese social life. With the process of modernisation and induction of new technology, these traditional arts and crafts are facing the danger of extinction and the Royal Nepal Academy and the National Council for Science and Technology have now begun to give a special attention towards the preservation of traditional skills while trying to acommodate the new technologies in the Nepalese life in a way that it will not harm, but promote the past tradtitional arts and crafts of the Himalayan Kingdom.
