    Abstract: Ce Guide du système africain des droits de l’homme a été conçu comme une introduction accessible et informative sur le système des droits de l’homme établi sous les auspices de l’Union africaine (UA). Ce guide donne une vue d’ensemble des développements relatifs à la Charte africaine des droits de l’homme et des peuples, à son mécanisme de contrôle, la Commission africaine des droits de l’homme et des peuples, de la Cour africaine des droits de l’homme et des peuples, ainsi que la Charte africaine des droits et du bien-être de l’enfant et son organe de surveillance, le Comité africain d’experts sur les droits et le bien-être de l’enfant. La présente version du Guide est publiée le 27 juin 2021, commémorant ainsi la date, 40 ans plus tôt, de l’adoption de la Charte africaine. L’année 2021 marque également le 15ème anniversaire du début des activités de la Cour africaine. Le Guide vise à la fois à retracer les évolutions historiques les plus marquantes et à fournir une introduction accessible au système africain des droits de l’homme et est réédité de façon continue. Il a été préparé par le Centre des droits de l’homme, Faculté de droit de l’Université de Pretoria, en collaboration avec la Commission africaine. Deux de ses versions antérieures ont été publiées en 2011 et 2017. Le Centre des droits de l’homme, qui célèbre en 2021 les 35 ans de sa création en 1986, est à la fois un département universitaire et une organisation non gouvernementale (ONG). Il bénéfi cie du statut d’observateur auprès de la Commission africaine. Este Guia fornece uma visão global dos desenvolvimento relacionada com a Carta Africana de Direitos do Homem e dos Povos, seus órgãos supervisores, Comissão Africana de Direitos do Homem e dos Povos, Tribunal Africana de Direitos do Homem e dos Povos, bem como a Carta Africana de Direitos e Bem-Estar da Criança e seu órgão supervisor, o Comité de especialistas em Direitos e Bem-Estar da Criança. Esta versão do Guia é lançada em 27 de Junho de 1981, comemorando a data, 40 anos antes, quando a Carta Africana foi adoptada. Este ano 2021 também marca 15 anos depois da entrada em funcionamento do Tribunal Africano. O Guia visa tanto mapear os desenvolvimentos históricos mais satélites e prover uma introdução acessível ao sistema Africanao de direitos humanos, e é continuamente revisto. Foi preparado pelo Centre for Human Rights, Faculdade de Direito, Universidade de Pretória, em colaboração com a Comissão Africana. Duas versões anteriores do Guia apareceram em 2011 e 2017. Toleo hili la Mwongozo lilizinduliwa tarehe 27 Juni 1981, kwakuadhimisha miaka 40 iliyopita, ambapo Mkataba wa Afrika ulipitishwa. Pia, mwaka2021 ni mwaka wa 15 tangu Mahakama ya Afrika ianze kufanya kazi.
