Abstract:
Die Kreißende wird im Menstruationshaus von Calap von ihrer Mutter unterrichtet. Die Geburt erfolgt am nächsten Tag im Freien in Hockstellung, wobei die Frau sich an Stöcken festhält. Das Kind, das mit einseitiger Klumpfußmißbildung geboren ist, wird nach etwa 1 ¾ Stunden in Bananenblätter eingewickelt und von der Mutter auf den Armen in das Menstruationshaus getragen. Die Abnabelung erfolgt kurze Zeit später.
Abstract:
The woman in labour is instructed by her mother in the menstruation house in Calap. The birth occurs on the next day outdoors in a squatting position while the woman holds onto sticks. The child, which is born with a one-sided clubfoot deformation, is wrapped in banana leaves after approximately 1 ¾ hours and carried into the menstruation house in its mother's arms. The umbilical cord is cut a short time later.
