Abstract:
Die Flechterin ordnet rote, schwarze und naturfarbene Rindenbaststreifen in der gewünschten Farbfolge. Die Haube wird dann als fortlaufende Bahn in Diagonalgeflecht hergestellt. Das fertige Geflecht wird in der Mitte gefaltet und an einer Längsseite mit gezwirntem Bastfaden zu einer Kapuze zusammengenäht.
Abstract:
With the help of two sticks, the plaitress arranges red, black and naturally coloured stripes of bast in the desired colour sequence. Then, the hood is produced as a continuous piece in diagonal plaiting. From bands of various colours, longitudinal and diagonal stripes are formed in the pattern. The plaiting being finished, the piece is fold in the middle and sewn, in order to form a hood, along one longitudinal rim with a twisted thread of bast.
